I purchased an aftermarket bed extender from Amazon that said it would fit the Maverick. There is a video online that says the aftermarket bed extender will fit.

I spent about an hour putting on the brackets. This was not an easy task to do. You can not get your hands in the very small slot to hold the brackets after you remove the tail lights. You have to figure a way to attach the bracket so the three screws will go thru it. Then you have to figure a way to get a washer and bolt on each of the three screws without them falling into the bumper. I finally decided if I use double sided tape and attach the parts to my finger I could do this.

Assembling the unit requires 2 people. I tried to do it my self, and it took me over an hour to assemble.

After assembly, I decided to install the extender. After adjusting it to the right size, it fit in the brackets perfectly. I was very happy with the quality of the unit and the fit. The extender was laying on my tail gate.

Now my happiness went to sadness. I tried to lift the cover and put it in the truck bed, and it would not go. The two metal sides of the roll up extender track (See Photos) block the bed extender from flipping over. There is no way to move the medal sides of the roll up cover track.

It should be noted, the Ford OEM Bed Extender is made so it does not hit the medal sides of the roll up cover track.

What brand is your tonneau cover? I'm wondering if a different brand of cover would allow the extender clearance.

I ordered the Moab bed extender off Amazon, looks like yours. Works perfectly with my roll up cover - Truxedo pro X15.

The Truxedo rails do not come out into the bed nearly as far as the Ford Tonneau. Sorry to see you having that problem.

I have the same Ford REV hard roll up bed cover. The locking mechanism extends into the bed and does block some accessibility. I like the cover, but in hindsight I wish I would have paid more attention to that before I made the purchase. The sides of the cover lock into a channel that goes down the side of the bed.

Does the Truxedo Pro have rails that stick out like mine?

No, latch on left side to release cover is built in to rail. Took some pictures but it's dark out, hope they help. By the way the pro X15 is matte black material, very low profile and looks great.

Thank you. Looks like the same extender I bought. My rail latch looks like it extends out further than yours.

Yeah the latch is in the rail itself. Nothing sticks out any further than the rail.

It is the cover. The medal locking mechanism sticks out to far.
