I hope I get selected soon! I'm really walking on thin ice!!! lmao 🤣 was reading these forums while waiting in a drive through when my truck turned off for no reason. Luckily it started up again with no problem, my vehicle might not make it till i get my Maverick! :,( Help!
My 2005 Xterra has broken down again this weekend. Went and got a 2022 Frontier on Saturday. Easy. Didn’t have to wait 6 months with no communication and it cost the same as the Lariat I have on order with Ford.

Good news!
According to my dealership 6 of their 7 September Hybrid orders and an October 2nd order they have were bumped up to priority 2 as of this morning.
This should be a sweet scheduling week for September hybrid folks!

I'm wondering how you are so certain? I've looked a bit and found no actual info on total orders. Without that, one would just be guessing. Could you post a link to total orders?
Ford said they hit the 100,000 order mark by the end of AUGUST. It wasn't even available for 3 full months yet. You would have to think at LEAST 100,000 more were ordered the next 3-4 months after that. Worst case scenario...25% ordered were dropped. VERY LOW estimate...150,000 ordered. Ford hasn't made HALF that.

We know what kind of gas mileage hit you took, but what kind of features hit did you take? I personally like the Frontier, but to get one that costs the same as my Maverick Lariat Lux Hybrid would be giving up a lot of equipment. My Chapman Maverick cost is $29,300 plus tax. The Frontiers I was finding, even without markups, were S models and very basic. More in line with the equipment of a Maverick XL, although with halogen (yuck) headlights.

Even a mid-trim SV model - still missing most things from a Lariat Lux - was $15,000 more than my Maverick cost MSRP vs MSRP. They were willing to deal, but it was still going to end up costing $10,000 more for a truck with less equipment. Perhaps more ability and definitely more engine.. but still not near as nice.

No, they never said that. They may have said 100,000 "reservations" but that is not the same thing at all. Less - probably much less - than 50% of the reservations turned into orders. From what I've gathered, Ford might have amassed about 75,000 actual orders for the 22MY.

You'll still be able to use it regardless.

Ford Authority is always a month behind what's on this and other forums, but you can't help but shake your head at this. Especially after all the lip service regarding Ford's stated desire for folks to order online.

https://fordauthority.com/2022/02/ford-bronco-allocation-formula-currently-favors-large-dealers/

" In the case of the Bronco, around 50 percent of Ford’s shipments were routed based on online reservations, while 25 percent were shipped based on the physical location of the dealership with larger markets receiving priority, while the last quarter were divided up based on sales volume. Back in October, this formula was tweaked to give increased preference to dealers that sell more units of the Ford Bronco Sport as well.

At the same time, Ford has also reduced the percentage of Bronco sales that must be matched to a name on the digital order list from 80 percent to 60 percent, meaning that any walk-in customer can purchase four out of the ten Broncos that arrive at dealers."

And at only a 10-15k markup depending on the trim :)

How so? I contacted Chapman and they said they cant add it to an order that doesnt have a VIN assigned to it? If it expires before the VIN is created, its a loss, no?
