Saw post on internet that ford raising prices on most models ( maverick not mentioned) . f150 going up by $1500 on msrp and additional rise in prices on options . Most other models also seeing increases on msrp and options . These increases on top of the increases that occurred last December .

Considering that 2022 Maverick production is sold out, I'd say that everyone who ordered has their prices locked in. But for 2023, I'd say yes the price is going up. Probably like the F150 XL the Maverick XL will keep the $19,995 base price, but for sure all the other trims will go up, or they take equipment away. Who knows, maybe with the price hike some of the missing equipment (satellite radio, large touch screen, etc) will appear.

Nobody has a choice. There are way too many dollars out there chasing way too few goods to buy. Boom, inflation.

Every business is having prices raised to them so they have to pass it on to the consumer.

Yes, price increases each model year are very common and especially so during an inflationary period such as the one we're in now.

Ford won’t change the Mavericks price until MY23 as their currently sold out. It wouldn’t be good for business. As others said the MY23 will face increases.

On a side note. This is an unsustainable trend. Example: My pay went up 2 percent and inflation raised by 7.5 percent. I predict declining inflation from here on out. 5 percent this year, 2-3 percent next year. The alternative would be stagflation where prices keep going up and unemployment rises. Interest rates will likely remain elevated from current levels too, but still cheap historically.

I can’t see any reason why it would not be raised.

If Ford increases $$ by 8% and inflation is 10% then Ford will effectively be lowering the price of 2023's!

In economic theory, but in reality, not if your $$ remain the same. this is where microeconomics and macroeconomics diverge.

I would expect $500-$1000 depending on the trim level.

Producer Price Index (PPI) data announced this morning shows up 9.8% yoy (year over year). See attached chart. Anyone who thinks this would NOT have further downstream effects (e.g. on retail vehicle pricing) is fooling themselves. (Edited: corrected to include NOT.)

Did you mean to say "would NOT have further downstream effects"
