Price hike on 2024 Maverick XL - $415

My dealership said that "price protection" doesn't work when your order rolls over to a new model year. Which is absurd because why else would you need price protection??? Anyways, I called Ford and they said my dealership was wrong, but it's at their discretion what they want to charge me. After lots of back and forth my dealership decided they would honor the "private offer" I had which came close to the price I had agreed to pay a year and a half earlier. I've had my 24 XL hybrid for about 3 weeks now and I love it!

good for you for stopping the Dealer from ripping you off!
i have a '23 Mav now and a '24 on order that i cant wait to get my hands on from a dealer who promised me EVERY penny i paid for my '23 as tradein value for my '24 order.
and yes i trust them to keep their word, i've been buying vehicles there for over 30yrs. for my money there are few better than Auto Nation Westlake Ohio when it comes to Ford dealerships

Probably true, but it would be good to see some other source. XL must have lower profit per unit than the other models. One reason they are building fewer than the other models. Low base price gets you looking and hopefully you will buy a higher priced model..... Sort of bait and switch but not verbal....

Though when "I DO" get those checks! I will have added 45 years and 2 months worth of $$, to that Kitty..

I am 65 and paid cash for mine, but it was paid from hard work as a master electrician and wise investments.

I won’t start collecting Social Security disability insurance for about another year. I’m receiving disability insurance payments from two insurance policies I had with my past two employers. I have chronic osteoarthritis and have had 4 hand surgeries in the past th three years. I also have prostate cancer that I have been diagnosed with in the past 6 months and am receiving treatment from an oncologist. I had to quit last year at 64 due to my osteoarthritis.

I started investing for retirement at age 23. I have health problems but not complaining. I am just rolling with the punches, like my dad used to say “ you can find sympathy in the dictionary right between s*** and shinola.”

This is 23 vs 24 sticker ! Add on another 415.00. So you are looking at 3220.00 increase for same thing. These both xl hybrid same color and only added hitch.

Guess I hit the lottery with my XL 22 with moon roof and hitch for $22,600 out the door.

Guess my wife thinks so too. She got me this shirt for Christmas!
