This one is high on my list but keep reading reports from people installing it and it's an inch or two short of the full bed length, so there are gaps they're running weatherstripping in. How is it front to back, full fit?

I think i do need to move it back about a 1/4" to fit tight to the tail gate. Now that's it on its just a matter of loosening rhe clamps and sliding it back.

I bet if it's touching the bulkhead near the window, then you can get 5 whole fingers between the tailgate and cover.

If you move it towards the tailgate, then it will be hanging off the bulkhead and not seal there.

I took mine off and am trying to get them to take this inch and a half short garbage back. Super pissed at the moment.

Edit: sure the vinyl will hang over the tailgate but not the rubber seal. So it looks ok, but it is not.

I left a 3/4" gap between the back window and the front of the cover and it fit perfectly. It still has about an inch of seal there on the rail under the window and it closes about an inch on the tailgate.

Remember, most trucks have a gap between the bed and cab, you don't put the cover all the way up against the cab on a regular truck.

Sure the vinyl will ha g over the tailgate a bit but that rubber flap is floating an inch away from the tailgate. I bet you can get half your hand in the bed under that vinyl.

You would lose that bet!

That’s because on a “regular” truck, the bed and cab are separate. This is a unibody where it is all one piece.

I complained to Truxedo the TruXedo TruXport model 294701 (309.99 retail) is about an inch too short. So you don't get optimal bulkhead position. But if you use the roll of double sided adhesive foam they include the bulkhead won't leak. But less than half the width of the foam will actually be sealing. I close my tailgate first then the cover so the rubber seal angles outward not in towards the bed. I'll add photos.
I told Truxedo I'll gladly accept a replacement when they redesign it.

Yeah, it's too short. But I like it and wanted to keep it. I have the Ford embossed logo version from accessories.ford.com. I cheated it down a little to where it half was bearing on the bulkhead for a good seal. I then added a piece of the Z-weatherstripping to the end piece that extends it and rests on the tailgate. I also added weather stripping for the tailgate. Keeps the water out. Even living on the Washington Coast.

It would just be better if it was an inch longer, of course. But it works for me.
