I was playing around with Forscan tonight and discovered that "Auto Stop Start" Under IPC Module

Configuration was set to "Enabled" and that there was an option to "disable" it so I figured I'd try it. I haven't been able to drive it yet but the autostart screen under settings, information is not there anymore and the grey A with a line through it is not there when I'm in park.

I will know for sure once I drive it in the morning but there is a huge possibility that you can disable it using Forscan! Assuming I'm not wrong of course, as I've only used it for an hour or so.

This would be HUGE and make me buy a forscan license.

The IPC probably is only the human interface of the feature, with the actual logic running in the PCM. Does Forscan show any similar settings under PCM?

Yeah, that didn't work. Looks like it just removed everything about autostart from the instrument cluster
Might want to tweak your post title

You can't outright deactivate auto start stop. It is considered an integral part of the system. You shut it off outright you'll knock out whole systems. I know because I tried already. What needs to be done if it is possible is to figure out how to set it so it remembers the last setting each time you start the truck.

Pretty sure Ford did it this way to satisfy the EPA.

In my F150 I just had to unplug a tow related piece under the dash (would have to plug back in for trailer lights to work)
I’m hoping Mavericks with towing have a similar plug
The one I’m driving is not equipped with towing package so I can’t try it

In the 2018 f150 forscan disabled the system completely, rendering the button in the truck useless. Not sure how many codes you had to change but I had a buddy do it.

If it is designed the way I think it is I doubt he outright disabled it just tricked it into thinking it was there but not active then disabled the button afterwards.
