Right off the rip it is missing the transmission which is stuck in drive(All State said their internal claims will decide that one especially since that sends the estimate to 26k for a replacement that costs 7k), the bed storage box that I have pictures of showing it broken and thats assuming no body work there, the dent in the middle of the bed that the body shop thinks will be a cut out and weld a plate into and blend it in(That will also mean bed liner be redone by Line X), and the upper radiator mounts that I have pictures showing bent and a very likely ruptured radiator plus any surprises that are likely to arise.

With that amount of work and cost it's kind of surprising they didn't just total it.
That is yet to be decided. That is strictly an estimate. Alabama law is 75% of actual cash value is totaled. The truck had a trade in offer of 33k. That means total is 26k unless they do MSRP in which it is totaled now but I won't settle for MSRP when I have to pay 35 at best if I find one on a lot.

What a crappy situation indeed. Feel bad for you, I wouldn't want a brand new vehicle with a claim like that on it. That will hurt future resale / trade in.

The other person was at fault, right? If so, their client caused this and you should be entitled to all actual damages. The fact you have to pay $35k is an actual financial damage to you. Fight for it.

Unless you live in a no fault state. Then, bless you.

All State will also do depreciated value on the truck. I have an estimate for that to be 10k and that will go up now that the estimate is 19.3k

I had Allstate in 2007, new car replacement policy…. Had accident with ‘06 Toyota Highlander 4 cylinder… hit from the rear into a car, into a car into a car…. Bottom line they couldn’t find another 4 cylinder because the 07 had 6 cylinders…. They gave me a check for 10 % over MSRP… I made out like a Fat Rat in a cheese factory! I hope you do the same…. By the way took their check and went out and bought an ‘07 Highlander… nicest car I ever owned.

If memory serves me, the truck was hit in the front; make sure the Air Conditioning works and the condenser is not cracked....Good Luck

So sorry to hear about this. As long as no one got hurt, all will work out. The truck is replaceable. Stay on top of your insurance people.

The problem we're faced with now is the Maverick is a new vehicle in short supply. One can't help but wonder how long it would take to replace same.

I think that sending it to internal claims is standard procedure for totaling. I'll ask my son (contract ins adjuster) when I talk to him. Too bad he did not have replacement coverage.
