Took delivery yesterday and Maverick exceeds my expectations. Seeking trade for my blindside mirrors

Took delivery yesterday of this CG XLT AWD with 4K Tow and spray-in bedliner, and I love it(!)... just a few minor gripes, but in almost all ways, the Mav exceeds my expectations.

One of the gripes is the side mirrors. While I understand that most people like the additional small blindspot mirror, I hate them. We had a 2014 Escape (2.0 EB) with them and I hated them then, and I still do.

I just learned that some Mavericks come with just the simple full mirror, and I'm looking for someone who wants to do an even trade on just the glass part of the mirrors, BUT I NEED HEATED MIRRORS. Please message me if interested.

I found this Maverick thru a ford.com inventory search in early December, with a build date of 12-10-21 (I think) - it was headed to a dealer in Michigan as a stock order. I put $500 down on 12-14-21, and it arrived at the dealer about 1-26-22. I took delivery on 1-29-22, yesterday. #happycamper

I didn’t realize they have different size mirrors? I only heard without blis you had the little spotter mirror in corner & have heard some people added them to the other corners but again I thought they’re all same sized external?

There's the pictured dually mirror, a single mirror with blind-spot radar indicators, and (I think) just a single mirror set up. There all the same size.

Personally, I have the radar indicators and its wonderful. Parking lots are so much safer now.

I thought I had a perfect trade set up, but my mirrors are heated and his aren't... so still looking for someone to trade heated side mirrors without the blindspot mirrors for mine that do have the blindspot mirrors.

Your truck's a beaut! Love the color. I have to admit you're the first person I know who's so passionately hateful of the blind spot mirrors. Seems like a lot of trouble to go through for something relatively trivial ... but I gotta respect your opinion.

BTW, whoever you end up trading with may want to pop off the BLIS indicator LED. I've done a similar mirror swap on one of our fleet Tauruses and the BLIS system will show an error if the LED isn't connected.

Im with you on those mirrors. I cant imagine them being on the upper inside corner. Normally they are on the lower outside and they are round. Beautiful truck though. I love the heavy duty XLTs.

That would be a weird trade. Trucks with copilot have blis so don’t need the little spotter mirror. The ones without come with the little spotter so who ever you trade would lose the little blis light

Took me a day to get used to the location of the convex mirrors. But I like them as they line up perfectly to the lane next to me. There's a fairly big blind spot there without the little spot mirror. So even though it takes away from the big mirror, it works.

I learned years ago to lean forward and use the entire mirror area to scan for traffic around me, but the blindspot mirror is in the way for me to do that. I believe my method is more effective, and most of all, it's a habit I've had for 40+ years of driving, so changing now isn't very likely. And to me it's not trivial since it's causing me to be less certain that the lane next to me is clear.

I drove the Escape we had with the blindspot mirrors for several years, tho not as my daily driver, and I always felt they were a pain. I lean forward and use all of the mirror area to scan for traffic next to me, which is highly effective in making certain that it's clear next to you. The blindspot mirrors prevent me from using the method I've been doing for over 40 years. I'll be much happier, and safer, without the blindspot mirrors.

Yes. XLT w/ Luxury Package and no CP360. I was trying to figure out what the part number of those would be in consideration of doing a similar swap, but the Ford parts site doesn't like to give out complete numbers.
