Ford Maverick 2.0L Intel From Hands-On Experience

Good to hear that it's a solid driving experience. I do understand that it can be hard to put into words how good (or bad) a vehicle feels because it is very subjective. I think that along with most others on this forum you have provided a real breath of fresh air! We are obviously chomping on the bit to know more about the Maverick and of course get one! Would it be possible to record some video the next you are driving or riding? Maybe capture the display in real time or even (if you have time) to scroll through the various screens on the main display? Of course if you do that you'll probably get another 1k questions! Have been in a model with the sliding rear window? I curious what the actual dimension of the slider is, it looks to be about the same size as the one on my '04 Ranger. Again, thanks for all your information you're providing, it really helpful and making this whole process even more exciting!

Good to confirm that the numbers add up. The Maverick on paper has more rear leg room (and I think even more combined leg room) than the Ranger.

I think part of it has to do with going with a unibody. No frame means more floor-to-ceiling cabin space!

It is an amazing amount of room

Have you seen these pictures from this thread where a 6'4" member posted a few pictures next to and in the Maverick and then next to a Ranger? That might give you an idea of sizing that you're looking for.

and its crazy because in the ranger, the space doesn't feel anywhere near that of the maverick

Yes so I just have a video of myself filming the interior and the bed closing and all but I will have to get one of it driving for sure. It isn't like I won't be seeing this again. soon I will go back to visit with others. I will try to compose a list of some things that others want to see when it comes to the maverick. the air ducts, back sliding glass, under the back seats, sizes and all. And my goal here it to help give references to those who really are interested in this awesome truck. Again Chris Thanks to people like you who are loving the glory of this beast. PM me for any other questions as well. And we can continue to post on this thread, but I will create a new one when I go to check it out again!

Thanks Noah!! Yes, I agree Ford has a real winner on their hands and I'm so happy to be getting one! It's just amazing how the Mav is just exactly what I wanted. I've been putting off getting a new Ranger because I just felt like it's more truck than I really need. My '04 Ranger is the right size, but lacks passenger space and then...Maverick!!
You will certainly have to make a checklist of what everyone wants to you to checkout! Hopefully you get a chance to ride/drive a Hybrid model and provide some feedback on it's power to weight giddy up! I know other's have said to test drive a Bronco to get a similar feel, but finding a Bronco in the wild are almost as rare as a Maverick! Oh, for your checklist, can you check out the rear passenger windows to let us know if they go all the way down or only part way? This question may have already been asked, but just in case. Again, thanks for all the information.

I've seen them as Dark Blue, Black and I believe Gray.

Yes sir! so they are a lightish brown, with the dark blue (almost like navy) and a very soft leather. the interior colors and accents tho are similar to a bronze. I really like it. It is the desert brown and dark blue, hope that helps!!

dude of course!
and honestly with the amount of room that has been discussed being able to fit these people, it should be no problem. Like I told others as time goes on I will be back for another secret visit and will have written down things I need to take photos of and measurements. ill try and get the recording of the seats sizes as well!

As someone who ordered a Maverick Lariat in Alto Blue, I still don't think this color has been captured very well in any of the photos I've seen of it so far. If you get the chance, I would love to see some clear, unobstructed views of it in good lighting conditions without any weird shadows. Every pic I've seen of this color so far has been taken at a weird angle, had bad lighting, poor picture quality, or was taken at a distance, and hasn't given me a sense of what it actually looks like in real life.

The Cactus Gray model has been captured very well in recent pics IMO. Would love to see some similar quality pics to those but in Alto Blue. You would be a hero to us Alto Blue fans!

Is there an auto stop/start override button on the console, on 2.0 EB models? Looks like one in the Ford.com pix, on the lower left corner. Can't find mention of it in their literature. Hoping your experience with a real live Maverick 2.0 found it.
