What can you do? Tell your dealer to prove it. Ask for a copy of the notification from Ford. Ask for a copy of the original ROVP sent to Ford when you ordered your Maverick. Tell your dealer that you need to see documentation of everything he/she just told you over the phone. You're entitled to all of that.

So what is the main issue with the hybrid production, is it the chips/electronics/electric motor or what that is causing the constraint?

I still believe hybrids are being made based on the scheduling statistics. However I am also an early June hybrid and nothing heard yet. These days many these threads being posted and I am starting to become skeptical.

This was the same message I received. It was delivered by a family member who has no reason to want to steal my truck. I also verified with Ford that the vehicle was properly ordered. Believe it or don’t.
Don't. Haha. No offense. And I may eat my words if more authoritative proof gets posted.

People that ordered in June do not have build dates and you all think that people are lying and that all will get built in 2022? Please.
The question is not whether all hybrid orders will get built in 2022, but whether all hybrid production has been stopped for 2022. Big difference.

It's worked out pretty well for me. When I ask my salesman to pull up the vehicle history on my truck, or show me some announcement from Ford that he is talking about, he does it without complaint.

(Of course, I've made a point of visiting with him face to face and being patient and polite over the last 6 months. So that helps.)

The issue here does not sound like a dealer trying to switch someone to an EB to sell a hybrid at a markup. That happens, sure. But this issue and lots of them recently seem to be dealer error during the ordering process.. in which case, there probably is nothing you can do. The dealer is lying about production stopping, etc, just to save face and not admit their mistake.

If that's the case and you do stick around to order a 2023, do so from a dealer that knows that they are doing.

I've tried to get through to the Ford customer service number several times since last June and only got through once. The rest of the time I am on hold for 15 minutes and I just give up. Can't get through so have to rely on what the dealer says.
Lol 15 mins… dude I stayed on hold for 3.0 hours once then 3.5 hours a second time to get through to a Canadian airline just to make a tweak during a flight ticket order- welcome to the pandemic and companies slashing jobs. I have had really good luck and awesome service from ford (I’ve called four times haha, but each time the very nice ladies just confirmed the vehicle is still Processing).

In what manner was that message received? Does your family member have communication in some form from FORD (not from someone who heard that someone heard that someone said).

If dealers "knew" this information there would be leaked memos and @fordvideoguy would be reporting on it. This is someone's speculation getting repeated in an echo chamber and gullible and/or misinformed people are falling for it.

There are significant Hybrid production disruptions. But not a halt to production for the rest of the year. All the evidence from Ford and scheduling as recent as yesterday disproves it. And there is no evidence except for unsubstantiated heresay from one of the most unreliable known sources of information on earth. Dealerships. No offense to Tim Bartz intended.

Where there's smoke there's fire. My dealer told me long ago they were never going to get all '22 hybrids built. I know a good amount have been built or scheduled but just in the past few days countless people have had their build dates pushed out yet another month. So all these dealers making these calls that pass people off just for fun? I think most of them know that the large majority of hybrid order customer's are not going to switch to EB, so I doubt their lying to get a couple switches to EB to make a sooner sale. People that ordered in June do not have build dates and you all think that people are lying and that all will get built in 2022? Please.
How would they know all hybrid orders won’t get them?! They don’t know, they are just guessing.
