No... and I will add, it's the fastest "new car smell" disappearance of any new car I have had. At like 2k, it was gone.

Is the Ford new car smell/chemicals irritating or messing with anyone else? After riding in my Maverick for 15 or more mins, it almost feels like you can taste the chemical offgassing within the Mav. Unless there is a problem in mine?

*Note: I do have bad allergies.
Yes I noticed this when I first bought my Maverick. I breathed in through my mouth or yawned I would get a faint chemical taste. It has gotten less pronounced over time. I've had mine since December 10th.

Don't they sell those little pine tree air fresheners in new car smell? Maybe it those liquid ones that go on your air vent. Can't remember. Better be careful though, it might smell like a Chevy. :D :ROFLMAO:
Mine didn't smell when I got it but it sure is forest fresh now lol.

I find it pleasant actually. Ford has a pretty good new car smell. Hondas are the worst.

If you want to get rid of it faster, run the heater often and keep the windows cracked while parked.

I have a Lariat lux. I thought it smelled like melting crayons. It took a couple weeks, now smell in almost gone, no where near as bad.

Probably some late supply chain related substitution of foam that's off-gassing toxic VOCs.

Leave the windows down on sunny days and it will dissipate in short order.

Figure out a way to vacuum the "aroma" up and fill glass jars with it. Then sell it as "That New Car Smell" to others that don't have it, but want it. $$$$$$$$

I don't have my Maverick yet should get it around April. But I did have 1 other new car which was a 2002 Mustang GT. Which I bought off the trailer in 2001. I don't remember any weird smells. I would suggest taking it back to your dealership and seeing if they can clean it down again.

Yeah, this is basically what I'm getting. I've had mine since Nov 10th. 2200 miles, I've tried leaving the windows down, running the heater etc.

It's faded a hair since I got it, but I still taste/smell it. Maybe something to do with the active x seats?

I could smell a fairly strong odor from the engine for the first 100 miles or so. Burning off something. Kind of strange as I’ve never experienced that. Mostly noticeable outside the truck after parking in the garage.

Interior had a faint new car smell that unfortunately went away within a couple months. I have an XLT so you could be correct about the seats.

Yes I can relate.
One of my new company cars a 2014 Ford Fusion, smelled “plasticky“ and would give me a headache or sore throat.
I left two Arm & Hammer fridge baking soda boxes in it - open over a long weekend while it was locked up and not used. That absorbed the new odors coming from the new Ford. It made a surprising difference.
