A larger rear view mirror is needed, the factory one is horrible ....

The stock mirror is crap. I had my window tint guy tint it and that fixed one issue but it’s still too small.

I can understand wanting a larger mirror. But...

As far as the stock mirror goes ... is it any smaller than the mirrors you typically see in vehicles that size? Or is it just that you would like a bigger one? (I ask because my truck hasn't been delivered yet and there isn't one around here I can go look at.)

It’s just small. My civic had a larger mirror and I had no issues with it at all

Dangit....now I've ordered the flat one too (with blue glass). One of them will be going back. Maybe get some photos of the comparison between the two before I do.

I picked this up around week 3 of running the truck. This size is great and displays the whole rear glass and a little of the rear window due to the curve. Clips on very well and is virtually un-noticable from the outside. Blocks out UV and headlights without autodim or tilt ( which will still work but its not necessary)

Interior rear view mirror on my XL is 10"W x 2" to 2-1/8"H glass area.

I don't seem to have a problem with blind spots with this mirror and my outside mirrors set correctly, even though the base model exterior mirrors have no convex inserts.

I just checked the box in the garage. It's the Broadway Napolex BW-176 300mm Flat Blue Mirror. Works great. More visibility and the blue tint is easier on the eyes.

Personally, I didn't have an issue with the stock mirror - but now that I put this one on I would miss it if it were not there and would buy another if something happened to it. This thread intrigued me to try it and glad I did. Convex was not for me, but the flat one is great and gives me a wider wiew of the rear, which means I can reposition the side ones further out for even more coverage. Plus with the blue tint, I have not used the flip up dimming again since installing it and drive to work before dawn. I wouldn't have thought it would make that much of a difference, but it does.

Sheesh, that's an inch wider than the mirror in my current car, and I've never had any issues. It's impressive what people can find to complain about

Which is why I could never work in customer service . Personally I like these threads, gives me things to experiment with that maybe I would not have thought about otherwise. If I find it is not for me, Amazon has a pretty great return policy (like I did with the convex one). But I'm keeping the blue one, I think it is worth it.

The size of the mirror is only one factor. The other important one is the distance between your eyes and the mirror. Imagine the mirror was 10 ft for your eyes. You would not be able to see much of anything in the mirror.

Thank you, Napolex has an endless amount of variants that some of which seem somewhat similar.

I removed the rear headrests and it opens up rear vision quite a bit
But I didn’t have a problem seeing, but it now lets me see more

I was going that route next myself. I just like a clear sight path. I'm wondering if that will help the seat latch issue folks are having. ( I have a theory that xl seats don't have much of an issue latching due to lack of cupholders and blustering)
