No offense but you're all waiting for the hottest vehicle on the market with supply chain issues and this little thing called a pandemic going on. I was told when I ordered my EB to expect about 6 months but it could be longer and my order could be pushed to the 2023 model year. I don't expect any communication in that time aside from my dealer eventually calling me to say it's on the lot. If you don't like it cancel your order and buy something else? What do you expect from Ford? Do you think they have the resources to contact buyers individually? My office is constantly hovering around half to three quarter staff because of people being out sick with covid or taking care of a kid with covid. Why would they even waste resources informing customers of the pretty OBVIOUS reason for delays, you know, supply chain issues, battery shortages, electric motor shortages, transportation shortages, a PANDEMIC. Also, I completely agree with their allocation system, they reward their top performing dealerships with better allocation. Is this an everyone should get a trophy moment? Sorry but I don't have any sympathy here, I've owned ten different new vehicles in my life, three of which I've special ordered and I never expected communication from the dealer other than "hey, your car is here".
I take a slightly different stance with Ford and your view of them. Yes, the Maverick is the hottest selling vehicle right now. Ford launched the Maverick in the middle of the pandemic with all the supply and personnel issues known to them. Keep in mind Ford has been in business over 100 years and is one of the largest automotive companies around. So yes I do believe they have resources to contact every individual customer who ordered a Maverick via direct email or through their dealerships. The lack of communication to their customers is a problem in building good relationships with current and future customers. No excuses for this. Ford did manage to send out emails to all the hybrid orders to inform us that we're getting a FITS kit and to acknowledge our order. I do have sympathy for thousands (?) of folks who placed an order in June and July who still haven't received a build date and yet have seen others who ordered long after them receive a build date or a even taken delivery! Again, Ford failure to explain why the allocation system they're using is biased against those who stepped up first has yet to be explained. I think it's safe to say that a large majority of the people who ordered had no idea of dealership allocations or how they're determined for a dealership.
Ford has a large PR team that could release information concerning issues with Maverick scheduling that all the Maverick forums and websites would repost. Again nothing from Ford! I expect a company that has gone through 2 world wars, a few economic depressions to do a much better job communicating with their customers. I hold Ford to a high standard as I think any companies should be held to when conducting business with the public.

Just for amusement value:
My spouse and I have been betting in sort of a "two horse race". I'm thinking the truck, the Maverick, produced by established manufacturer/distributor FORD will cross the finish line -- be delivered -- before my spouse's horse from upstart industrialist Elon Musk's factories and supply chain promising the new STARLINK Dishy satellite internet terminal. Both ordered, left the starting gate, the same week in 2021.

Anybody want in on this wager? Maximum bet $0.25 ... I'm offering 5:3 odds on Ford.

I ordered my white Hybrid XLT on August 5th 2021. The last information from Ford indicated it should be to the dealer (Salt Lake City) by January 13th. On January 17th 2022 I drove by the dealer and there it was. I got the things I really wanted on it but made sure I didn't order anything that might slow down the build. Sorry so many of you have to wait longer. Wondering if it is Ford, the dealer or just plain bad luck that has slowed your build. Hopefully it won't be too much longer for the rest of you.
This is the thing I really think that Ford should explain and certainly needs to fix. How is it that I ordered my XLT Hybrid on July 5th and you ordered a month later and you have received yours, while I still don't even have a build date! I know that there's going to be folks that will point out that your order was probably different, mine has the Lux package, which I don't know if yours does. However, that doesn't explain how I was (along with hundreds of others) was passed over. Don't get wrong I'm happy that you have received your Maverick, but just doesn't make sense to me why.

Below is a schedule of communications from Ford and my dealer after ordering my Maverick XLT Hybrid. It sounds like some of you have not received any email from Ford.

It seems to me that you that if you ordered in the early months should have at least received the 10/21/21 "Free FITS Kit" email. If not you should definitely check with Ford to see if they have the order and a correct email address.

06/22/21 - My dealer of choice notified me that Ford sent them my reservation.
06/23/21 - Went to my dealer and placed the order with $100 down. When I got home I had an order confirmation email from Ford.
06/25/21 - My dealer sent an email asking me to verify that the email they had was the best address to send emails.
08/31/21 - I contacted my dealer and had him drop the spray-in liner from my order
10/21/21 - Ford sent me the "free fits kit" email. This was the first Ford Motor Company email since my order confirmation email.
12/04/21 - I got my "scheduled for production" email and VIN with a production date of 01/31/22.
01/14/22 - I received a production date change moving me to 02/07/22

In honor of today being exactly 7 months since my confirmed order of my truck with still no truck I’m curious how long have you been waiting for your truck? Where are my fellow June Northeast orders!?

Just some background information on my current situation. My vehicle was built on 12/29 and shipped on 12/31. I was able to see my vehicle was pending pickup on 1/12 by United Transportation and subsequently cancelled on the same day 1/12. It is located in Newark, NJ. I have an estimated delivery of 1/28-2/3, but not sure if that will happen.

Sending an email costs Ford nothing, and at least makes the customers frustration feel acknowledged (even if it's corporate bs.) There's a supply chain shortage on emails? Not according to my Spam folder
