Appreciate the detailed response.
The MSRP on my Maverick was around 34K so yes would be paying more than sticker.
I may have to go this route. Only issue is finding a new vehicle right away.
Gotcha just don’t know if I want to get into another Ford or Lincoln.
We have a 2013 Honda Accord Sport that has been such a workhorse car that has had no major issues over 10 plus years
Seems like Lincoln has same reliability issues..
I was pretty set on buying it at lease end, but as I see issues continue arising I may want to try and see if the market is hot on these trucks at lease end.
I decided to lease as I was not sure of the reliability of the vehicle in its first year. At the time it was difficult to find a vehicle in our price range. Our lease is $399 a month with $1000 down including a $500 rebate. I changed job locations which incurred more miles than I expected. If I...
I wanted to share my experience so far with my 2022 Maverick XLT AWD Ecoboost and what is next when my lease ends in January 2025.
Pros:
- Gas Mileage for a Truck (30 mpg avg on highway 26 City)
- Driving experience (easy to maneuver)
- Versatility of the bed
- Looks
- Fun to drive
- Price...
After reading through this post I am bringing my Maverick to my local mechanic who is going to change the RDU oil and check the other oil levels. Have 35K miles on the truck.
Just some more background on my situation: my lease is up in January 2025 and I am over the mileage allowance already. The mileage allowance was 3 years/30K and I am already at 35K. The buyout price of the truck is $20,500 plus a $500 lease buyout fee. I am not sure how the taxes work if I were...
Was curious if anyone has gone through a three year lease and what they did at lease end?
1) Did you turn the lease in (highly doubt in this market)?
2) Did you purchase the vehicle at the buyout price and keep it?
3) Did you purchase the vehicle at the buyout price and sell it privately?
4)...
So far no major issues. More of a piece of mind. Started getting a knocking noise when parking from the front end. Not sure if that’s the front axel or brakes need to be changed. Bringing it to my local mechanic next week for the RDU fluid change others have suggested have done on this forum and...
Just passed 35K miles on my Maverick. Being close to the 36K warranty limit would you purchase an extended warranty before hitting 36K?
How would that work with a lease that’s not up until January?
Planning on buying the vehicle at lease end due to multiple factors including being over the...

I am approaching 36K miles on my 2022 XLT EB AWD and believe purchasing an extended warranty is a wise decision.
The only issue I have that I have not seen discussed yet, is my truck is a lease.
The lease ends on January 31, 2025 and I am already over the mileage allowed which was 30K.
This...
I am paying $399 a month on a 36 month lease with $2000 down back in January 2022. $500 of that $2000 was covered by my first responder discount. My interest rate is 3.1%.
I decided to lease because it was first model year for this truck and I didn’t know how reliability would be, but looking...
I’ve had my 2022 Maverick since 1/31/22 and so far it’s been pretty reliable. I have only had the air bag recall done and sometimes the infotainment screen does freeze up.
I have one more full year on my lease and with resale prices and new vehicle prices I will be looking to buy the truck...
Does anyone else here lease their Maverick? If so what were your terms & are you planning on keeping your Maverick at lease end by purchasing it, financing the remaining balance or turning it in for another vehicle?
Here is my Alto Blue XLT AWD with the Luxury Package. Ordered in June of 2021 and received it in January of 2022. A little over 22,000 miles. Has been a pleasure to drive. Have only had the truck in the shop for the side air bag recall thus far.
Only regret I have is not purchasing/financing...
A little over 22,000 miles no issues besides the side air bag recall that left me without the Maverick for two days.
Only issue is that I leased the vehicle instead of buying/financing it. I’m going to be over the mileage allowance by a lot, but I plan on buying/financing the vehicle at the...
