Worst Hybrid MPG to date? Video review/fill-up and more flex bed use

I drive 85% hwy in excess of 75 for 85 or so miles round trip daily & my average is 37.4. In fact, it has never gone below 37 and as high as 49 in the city, stop & go traffic! That's also in normal mode, can't do eco, it hurts my heart Electric miles are also great as I learn to coast and feather the peddle during take offs... very impressive I feel

The hybrid system of the Maverick is simply regenerative braking so it would make sense that you are getting terrible MPG if you are:

90/10 interstate/city.
Idling with the heater on
Have a lead foot

All of which you stated. Sounds like you are good to go, you are getting decent MPG driving however you want to and when you want to get into the 40's, you simply need to change your driving habit's.

Spot on. I used to track/autocross my crx’s/Miata’s so I’m new to this hybrid/efficient driving! I took a few steps today on my commute home and got this. 26mpg with lots of smiles per gallon isn’t too bad. It was quite fun TRYING to max out my mpg too.

I’m also new to hybrid technology. I am currently averaging 30mpg. I am mostly on open roads and highways. I’ll be very happy if I can get it dialed into around 35mpg once I get used to driving my Maverick.

Ok here’s the miles I did today I used my truck for business every time the electric sign comes on is money in my pocket (52cents per mile) I used to fill up 3 times a week now I can go a week and a half save about 130 per week, at these pase the truck is not only paying for it self but actually making money

This one is the last leg of my day city highway ave 60 miles per hour, I think we need to start a tread on tips on how to drive a hybrid I think it will help all the new hybrid owners.

Picked it up from the dealer full tank. Hit half tank after 200 miles. Half of that was on the way back home doing 80-90 mph. Another 60 miles to and from the airport doing 50-60 mph. And the rest is mostly 25-30mph semi-city driving and ~45 mph expressway infrequently.

Try to remote start usually but half the time I forgot I turned off the heating so it's just sitting idle anyways lol (Which sucks cause this cold snap has been bad for me). So not bad imo especially since running it in sport mode most of the time and accelerating hard. Think that's what ~29 mpg?

I agree! Lots of new hybrid owners that could use what others have found to be best practices!

that is incredibly impressive. The one thing that helped a lot was the "EV Coach" in "my view" on the instrument display.
