Is the wait time less than ordering direct from S&B? They take an eternity to ship these out

Turbos do not like ingesting filter oil goo -
I see comments like this frequently here on the forum. Where does this come from? The S&B oiled air filter holds only 2.5oz of oil. How much of that oil do you think is pulled out of the filter into the turbo when it's re-oiled? I'll bet that its nothing compared to the oil from blow-by that is pulled through the crankcase breather into the turbo on a regular basis.

I've seen similar comments about oil contaminating MAF sensors in the past, yet I've put hundreds of thousands of miles on oiled cotton gauze air filters with no MAF issues. I have seen this happen to others in a very few cases, and it was due to massively over-oiling during the filter maintenance procedure. It takes a lot less oil to contaminate a MAF sensor than it does to make any difference to a turbocharger.

Are there any documented cases of oil from a properly-maintained air filter damaging or affecting the performance of a turbocharger? I haven't seen any. Until I do, I consider it nothing more than a wive's tale that is passed around a forum with no basis, or a case of poor maintenance.

And still nothing for the 2025.....oh well.
They should be launching very soon! Starting to see some product listings and YouTube videos. It'll be interesting to see how much of an improvement they could make.

It's funny, back in the day, when K&N was the only company with oiled filters, competing brand reps would constantly tell us how bad the oil was to a MAF sensor. They'd also tell us that the oiled filters let too many particulates through and that would cause excessive wear on the engine. One of those reps who had moved to a different company called on me, and in conversation one day, admitted to me that they used to tell us that because K&N had been kicking their tails with intakes and filters, and they needed to sell kits. They had no proof, it was all speculation.
We sold truck accessories and were all car guys. Every salesman in the office had a K&N filter in their truck or car. When we blew up motors, it wasn't because of the filter. LOL

Great kit! Love mine! Only issue I had on instal was my big ass hands & forearm getting crushed in between the firewall & abs block ( my is a 24 fwd ) while installing it to the turbo

here’s a pic with my JCR off-road engine cover & my new filter installed

Any MTC specials..?
S&B has a unilateral pricing policy. Everyone who sells their products has to to that policy. Basically, if anyone says they'll give you a discount on S&B, don't buy from them because they're a scammer.

I just put mine on, having a lariat with out the electronic booster made the turbo inlet tube easy to put on.

nice, trouble is no cold air under the hood,if you want cold air get a "cool can" of course its cold air is temporary, has anyone run the intake air through an AC evaporator.?
Its quiet as stock but thanks for checking in -
am glad to not hear that, thought the "Helmholtz" resonator took care of the racket.

I remember Fram putting down K&N for the oil gauze filters. Not long after that they came out with the Fram Air Hog, a gauze filter with the oil coloured Fram Orange! 🤔
