Mishimoto x Ford Performance 2022+ Maverick Intercooler - Now Available

They claim it's due the the high approach angle on the lower in . The tremor uses a smaller intercooler then the rest of the models. Also the radiator is different the intercooler mounts are recessed where the intercooler hangs/mounts but it's totally doable to make it work the shutter removed and trimmed and a few band ties its works.

It definitely looks badass!

I tried to order one from Ford Racing/Performance earlier today and my order was canceled. Saying it was not legal to ship to California even thou I see everywhere its 50-state approved with CARB EO#: D-759-32.

FORD/MISHIMOTO CORE IS 3X6
CVF CORE 6X6

Thats the only specs i have i called them when i was doing measuring for fitment , because i didnt want to cut my lower fascia and have the entire intercooler exposed , and i like things to look like they came that way , or semi factory

We contacted Ford who replied to us saying their system had been updated within the last couple hours. Give it another shot and if it doesn't work, drop a comment here or DM us.

We just replied to a question in another thread and I figured it had some relevance here too. When we started the collaboration, we sent Ford a few different intercoolers with varying configurations including different dimensions, row count, fin height, etc. After testing them all, the final production version was the sweet spot between overall cooling performance and optimal pressure drop given the stock turbo and intended performance.

To your point, bigger is not always better. If you have a billboard sized intercooler but the stock turbo and boost pressure, the turbo will be strained and way overworked trying to maintain the same boost levels. There are (allegedly) some other things being released by Ford in the coming months that will compliment the intercooler and help give the Maverick a good bump in power. But you didn't hear that from us...

Am I correct to assume the Intercooler will be compatible with both the OEM standard “2K” radiator and also the larger “4K” radiator equipped on the Towing Package?

Crazy old fart thought. Why not mount a sprayer in front of the IC to spritz water over the IC with a switch in the driver compartment? Could use salvaged windshield wiper parts.

This is already a thing, actually.

*Edited to add- folks usually use nitrous or CO2 instead of water for better cooling, plus you don't have a puddle under the front of your car. You can buy kits from multiple vendors.

I know this geared to racing but this provides plenty of benefit for daily driving and truck stuff.
For reference my truck is an 22 XL w/4k tow package

I had mine installed by a dealer and right away the acceleration is much better especially in eco mode. I have no problems hitting the pedal to pass someone on interstate at 70+ MPH. There is no hesitation when you put the foot to pedal now. I am also seeing close to 1 MPG increase under normal driving conditions. I've been able to climb some steep paved inclines I normal couldn't with eco mode. I still need to do some towing but so far the improvements are noticeable and not talking points on a piece of paper. This is with nothing more than adding the intercooler. Who knows how much better this would be with a proper truck tune for daily usage. Ford really needs to add this as a performance option independent of a racing package for new truck builds and develop a pro cal truck tune for daily usage to go along with it.
