Mishimoto x Ford Performance 2022+ Maverick Intercooler - Now Available

I know this geared to racing but this provides plenty of benefit for daily driving and truck stuff.
For reference my truck is an 22 XL w/4k tow package

I had mine installed by a dealer and right away the acceleration is much better especially in eco mode. I have no problems hitting the pedal to pass someone on interstate at 70+ MPH. There is no hesitation when you put the foot to pedal now. I am also seeing close to 1 MPG increase under normal driving conditions. I've been able to climb some steep paved inclines I normal couldn't with eco mode. I still need to do some towing but so far the improvements are noticeable and not talking points on a piece of paper. This is with nothing more than adding the intercooler. Who knows how much better this would be with a proper truck tune for daily usage. Ford really needs to add this as a performance option independent of a racing package for new truck builds and develop a pro cal truck tune for daily usage to go along with it.

Your Atkinson engine is normally aspirated (no turbo) and does not need Intercooler.

Normal air is fine for your hybrid. But the turbo on the EB pressurizes air & heats it up. An Intercooler brings the temperature down a bit before it enters the intake.

There are aftermarket air filters for the hybrid that might improve the air flow into your intake. They are much less expensive ($50) than an intercooler ($1000) and something you could change yourself

They claim it's due the the high approach angle on the lower in . The tremor uses a smaller intercooler then the rest of the models. Also the radiator is different the intercooler mounts are recessed where the intercooler hangs/mounts but it's totally doable to make it work the shutter removed and trimmed and a few band ties its works.

Did the intercooler use the existing OEM hoses & clamps? I’m having a Ford Dealer install mine & want to be prepared for any “situations”.

It honestly snaps in place, as if it was a factory piece ( mishimoto knocked this out the park ) If it wasn't for the tremor "differences" it was pretty painless. That being said if someone isn't mechanically inclined this is NOT for the faint at heart. And it is time consuming

Excellent! I had to buy mine from eBay at full pop - because AZ has a law against Arizonans purchasing direct from Ford.

Anyway, my radiator is being replaced by Ford under warranty. I’ll have them swap out the OEM intercooler for the Mishimoto at minimal charge (or no charge).

Going to go from the normal radiator/fan/intercooler to the 4K Tow radiator/fan/Mishimoto
