Although my MAV is a part of the recall for the seatbelt, I have had no evidence of hood shake at all. I’ve seen a lot of talk about that, but with 2,000mi of both highway 75-80 and back road trips I’ve never had that issue. 🤔
I have a 2016 Lincoln MKX..new in late 2016. It has a flexing, shaking hood just like you are talking about. I told the Lincoln dealer service manger about it..but ...he wasn't concerned as he said he has seen most of them do it. Not a good answer and no further followup with Lincoln. But,,it does bother me when going down the road at 75 - 80 mph.....

My 2022 is going to be a 2023 if this bs keeps up!
Yes I can see your concern. I think Ford has been doing a complete injustice to all of us who preordered the Mav...without even seeing it personally or test driving it....As I ordered in early July and it was to be built this week of 12/16. If it hadn't been that the dealer said that upon getting it in and test driving it..I have all the right to refuse delivery. So..I went ahead with it...but it is certainly an injustice by Ford to hold everyone up as they have apparently tied into what dealer you purchased it with and you, the consumer, have to put up with where the dealer is on his 'allocation status'! That is rediculous on Fords part. They should be thankful so many of us 'pre ordered' without regard to understanding the 'allocation' system. VERY POOR CUSTOMER RELATIONS. Mine is now supposed to be at the dealership around January 14, 2022. But it is coming...but I certainly haven't been pleased with the way Ford is shipping them out. But I do realize they have parts shortages, etc.....

Son of a. Ordered early July and will have to wait until at least January now.

Was yours produced yet? Way I read this, this will not impact anything completed recently.

Retired Ford Dealer Service Advisor here. Dealers will get information about what to do and what parts are needed sometime the week of January 3rd, doesn't mean parts will be available anytime soon. I've seen recalls come out and parts not available for a very long time, example was air bag canisters. Don't get mad at the dealer, they have little or no control.
Case in point - Bronco Sport and Escape FDM recall in July of this year. Parts were not available until November of this year - Four Months after the recall was announced. If you had one of the affected vehicles, by law, it could not be delivered.

I would assume this is a robot.
Even robots wear out and need maintenance and must be set up properly. At the rate ford is pumping vehicles out I hope quality is not suffering. Built Ford Tough?

Well this would totally explain why my truck was being held. Now if they could have just told us this up front I would have understood that. Instead I got the run around and them saying they didn't even know where my truck is. It's not at the dealers lot though. Glad to know at last. My truck is not canceled, but I don't know if I am going to buy it at this point. Not likely since I just picked up at 2022 Nissan Frontier Pro-X.

My maverick was built in that timeframe. Is there a vin range that’s effected?

The way they do VINs, there may not be a "range" Probably safe to assume that ours are affected and that we're going to eventually get recall notices in the mail. Mine has a 10/18-10/20 build date.

My dog is the only one that rides in the back seat and he refuses to wear a seat belt anyway.

I expect a couple recalls, being early build in first year. Maybe this is why mine sat at the rail yard for a week waiting on “additional quality checks”? I’ll wait for the official notice!
