PLANING a drive from the northern Tiers of PA in my Maverick hybrid to Myrtle Beach. Will be taking interstates most of the way. Some speed limits reach 70+ mile per hour. Will my 2024 Hybrid be able to handle it? Anyone have any experience making such a trip?
It'll be fine, but driving the interstate at 70+mph won't get you very impressive fuel mileage. Your gas engine will be doing most of the work. Expect mid to high twenties for fuel economy.

I am driving a 2022 XLT Hybrid with 41, 567 miles on the truck. My wife and I have driven this truck all over the country. From TX to Montana and back (twice) From TX to NC and back (twice). Most of this driving was on the interstate at about 75mph. I drove it on ECO and at some points I got over 40mph. You will not have any problems at all. Safe travels.

Of course anything COULD happen, but it's a car...like any other car...I wouldn't even call it a truck, but you should be just fine. Might have to get out and stretch every once in a while.

It will explode and burst into a ball of flames killing everyone in sight...

That's what has happened to all (3) of my Hybrid Mavericks over the last 5 years when I make the 1000 mile round fishing trip from Southern Maryland to Erie, PA 6 times a year and doing 75-80+ mph on the PA Turnpike trying to keep up with traffic.. The trips generally average ~40 mpg.

I purchased all my Mavericks primarily as my fishing trip trucks to keep the miles off my other daily drivers.

Maverick fishing trip number ~28 is scheduled for July, I have my fire suit standing by...

Like this answer. Unfortunate question.

;) ;)

For Me the seats aren't all that comfortable. I have to get out every 100-150 miles and stretch.
Both me and the seat lack bottom padding. I expected it for a cheap truck.
On long drives I use one of these....👇🏻

I just drove from Rehoboth beach to Western PA 2 days ago. 7 hours +. The seats in my 2024 XL were comfortable and when i arrived home i felt great. The Mav cruised at 75-80 with no issues and still returned 38+ MPG. When we drove the first leg of our trip from Western PA to Gettysburg, i stayed off the interstates and got over 50MPG. I love this truck.

I have driven my '24 hybrid XL (bought new) o Interstates from my home in ABQ to the Grand Canyon twice, Tucson and Phoenix once each (in summer heat), and Colorado's Rocky Mountain Park once. I don't remember the distances, but my Maverick did just fine and it's still trucking - though my mpg at 75-80 dropped to about 33-34 mpg. BTW, the seats get kinda hard for my skinny butt after a few hours, though.

just a note: if you're a taller person, make sure you have a couple of towels or small pillows handy.

Around town, not a problem at all, but for longer distances, being able to insert support under left thighs makes a huge difference. And the same for being able to add a bit of lower back support (although I guess that one isn't height related)
