After 2 years and 18,000 miles here's what I like and what I don't
LIKES:
Design, looks like a truck
Fun to drive, stays flat in turns
Good 360 degree visibility
Park anywhere
Electric seat
Big knobs for heat and sound
Light in bed
Door pulls
Heated steering wheel
Heater warms up quickly
DISLIKES:
Owners Manual, worst ever
Original sound system poor at best, replaced
Backup camera useless in rain

So, that's it. Overall very happy with the Mav. Goes to sleep once in a while, probably needs a rest.

No qualms about the transmission? That’s my issue. It’s horrible shifts weird in normal so I drive on S mode always. Otherwise it’s a great little trucklet.

Fair listing. We are on our second Mav and even with the sleep issues with the first one we love them both. Over a year now with our '25 and so far no issues at all.

For me , My 1 and only gripe having owned 2 Mavericks over 4 years, first was an 22 xl , is the 2024 XLT porta potty grey/white interior trim pieces - dash trim and door inserts - that's it ;) Just my 2 copper cents now worth 8.2 cents opinion - carry on ....

Cheers

Not sure why your backup camera is an issue. Mine works perfectly fine in the rain and the snow and all other conditions.

Same here; never an issue no matter the weather. Might be a one off problem for the author.

I know what he means about the camera. With rain drops or slush my view is really blurry. It happens when you back up INTO rain or snow, like from a garage. But it’s not a huge deal. I’ve had a battery changeout — free from my dealer — like many of us, but otherwise love the truck. And definitely the hybrid mpg.

No auto dimming mirrors and the seatbelt warning staying on for 2 minutes after I put my belt on are my gripes.

10-4 on all your likes,

Your dislikes,

My B&O stereo is wonderful with my sound insulating windshield.
Back up camera is not great but works in the rain, I can use it.

Has never gone to sleep.

Owners manual sucks~~~

Stock size Pirelli Scorpions AS 3’s and 38 psi cold is my sweet spot for more precise handling and traction. Much quieter on the crack seals now,
NO hit on mpg’s at all.
The below pic is with the stock primacy’s.

My only dislike is the Goodyear All Terrain tires are noisy. I will replace with another brand when it’s time. Otherwise, it’s one of my favorite vehicles I’ve ever owned; and there have been many.

My biggest gripe would be no available passenger power seat.

My ecoboost grew on me. It was an unwanted child when I first got it. Too frigging big and not electric and not two doors. And I hate automatic transmissions in general.

What would rock my boat? If Ford (not Slate) releases a truly small two-door electric truck in the not-too-distant future. Probably not. But one can always hope.

They will come, as soon as gas levels off at $7-$8-$9 per gallon.
Then what you seek will cost you big time.

I saw a Golf Cart that cost $11,000

All that the market will stand for, you watch.
