Need to do a forum search for control arm failures…
Well they dont even sell a seperate Ball Joint for the Maverick. The only serviceable item on the lower control arm is the Vertical rubber bushing.
All things are possible with the right amount of knowledge and tooling. If you figure it out, let us know.

Wasn;t he a drag racer back in the day?Or Bob glitching.
Or maybe traces it by VIN to folks who had their CV axle replaced on that side…Agreed, this is a pretty specific item over a multi-year timeframe. Almost like they traced it to a certain employee.
HRG
More like Jorge screwed up4,653 vehicles.
across 5 years and two platforms.
A) that's a pretty specific number.
B) how do they know that is the number
C) how do they know which ones?
It's as if they know it's only the days "Bob" was covering extra shifts for "Jose" over 5 years, and "Bob" did it wrong.
I am not in it either on my 24Whew. My '26 VIN does not show the recall.
Like the manager walked by Bob’s area and noticed a pile of stuff in the corner and asked “Bob, what’s that?”Given it is less than 1% over five years, it makes me wonder if it was the parts manufacturer that discovered the potential issue. Like a manager finally saw a resource wiping off the extra grease that was there on purpose and so they had to let Ford know that one employee had been doing something that maybe could eventually lead to failure down the road.
Bitchin Bob Glitchen! (Glidden) was an awesome racer in his day!Wasn;t he a drag racer back in the day?
