This is my ADHD brain speculating.

Raise it in the front an inch, more air is forced under the vehicle where the aerodynamics are far worse than the smoother topside ?
Plus increasing the gap around the front tire would obviously increase drag.

As for looks better, back in the day rake was a special kind of Badassery.

To me in my not so humble opinion.
Low and level looks fast and screams performance handling.
Stock height and level would not be noticed by most.
Especially in a truck, most would think nothing of it or at best assume you got something with some weight to it in the bed.

But that’s just me, and
I’m not right, In the head.
:’P

The product looks reasonably priced, easy to install and IF an alignment is needed that’s usually less than a C-note.
This 100% explanation is spot on. You will lose some mpg but it’ll be marginal. Maybe .5 mpg depending on how you drive and wind obviously. You can offset it by putting lower resistance tires ect but I really doubt it would affect it to a degree that anyone would really care. Now lifting the entire truck like 2” or something that may be a more drastic penalty.

So,
When did ‘Rake’ become undesirable ?

Mine levels out perfectly when
I put about 500-600 pounds in the bed.

So, if I leveled mine and put 500-600 pounds in the back it would be squatted like it was at max load or somewhat overloaded.
That would be really bad if I put a thousand lbs in the back.
Plus if I raised the front end wouldn’t my gas mileage suffer ?
You make a good point. For myself the rake is not undesirable. I'd just leave it alone.

You should fit right in with the locals, sounds like a cheap and easy way to achieve the "Carolina Squat"

That looks great, now how about doing the opposite in rear especially for the fwd/hybrid models.
Ditto here. Surely Steeda could sell just the back part of FWD lowering kit ?!?! Many older threads asking about this...

Raising the front end will render a greater approach angle but you can't see things close to the front of your truck because the hood is higher and obstructs the lower part of the view. It is harder to judge distances between cars and obstacles in front of you. I have raised the back end 1 inch on tall trucks to get a better view of what is in front of me.

In instructions on page 2 as follows...uh...break line?? Maybe a specialty company like Steeda would take a moment to proof read and realize it is brake line?!?

If your scenario 1 and 2 hold true, think of the ladies undergarments when I pass by with my "Lowered WITH Rake" Maverick...... Ah Yeaaaaaaah, creamer in the coffee baby!
