2022 XLT hybrid. About 11,000 miles. 4 years in October. I am somehow both babying it (I put a tarp down whenever I slide something into the bed) and abusing it (I only wash it once a year).
I also only wash ours once a year. Followed by a good coat of paste wax. Truck still looks new at 3 years old.

Ha Ha Ha, the logs are still in the bed from an earlier pic.
Well, yeah,
I can’t have people thinking I’m sum yuppy puppy driving a pick up to look cool,
Hauling only Air.

I shift the logs this way and that now and then.

3.5 years, 38,000 miles. Four minor recalls done free in my driveway, along with oil changes. No problems I can blame on Ford. One $600 problem I can blame on mice (free tow to dealer courtesy of Ford Roadside Assistance). Oh, and a free AGM battery replace under recall, in the driveway. New Michelin Defender 2 tires at 30,000.

Honestly, I had serious buyer's remorse leaving the dealership. The Maverick was a foot longer than my old two door Ranger, and felt like a bloated whale. Missed my manual transmission bigtime. But the Maverick has grown on me over the years and has earned my respect as a solid runabout vehicle. I've hauled my share of compost, straw bales, 500 lbs of fertilizer or lime, etc.

I still want a two door electric truck that's smaller than this ocean liner. But it's served me well. I would not hesitate an instant to recommend a Maverick to a friend.

28.5 MPG with my Ecoboost, in the WNC mountains.

Ocean liner ? Interesting comment. Have you ever had a F150 or a Silverado pull up next to you ? The Mav is a baby.

Bought mine 1/2024 have 40,000 on it. 2.0 Ecoboost is fine. No issues.Don’t get the mileage I want average is 24 mpg city/highway combined. Even road trips averaged 26 mpg. 🤔 also not impressed with the AWD. I heard Ford may have fixed this issue with the new 25s and 26s with software upgrades for this AWD. Will see
What AWD issue are you talking about ?

Everyone seems to like their Maverick. It was great to hear that no one who has a Ecoboost were complaining about their transmission going out to lunch. Someone on another post said that they are only good for about 150K miles. I didn't get that feeling since several Eco's had a few miles on them. This was good to hear.

Finally got 9k on my 23. At this rate I will wear out before it does. I'm still happy with it and glad I bought it.

Just to be clear, @XL Hybrid Cactus Gray is replacing the EGR SENSOR and not the EGR valve. The sensor is the part pictured above. @Joaquin F has a link on one of his posts for an original FoMoCo part that is about $13.00 for the part and $14.00 shipping. That is a great deal!
UPDATE:

Replaced the EGR Sensor today, 5/18/2026.
Got the replacement OEM sensor from Tasco Parts.
Total $36.56 ($12.82 part, $21.43 shipping).
Notice, the part number has changed, but the part bag has both numbers on it.
That was reassuring.
Check engine light with code P0402 was just on again yesterday.

Took about 5 minutes to replace the old sensor with new sensor.
Needs a 10mm socket for 1 nut holding the sensor in place.
Unplug the wire harness and slip off 2 rubber hoses connected to its bottom.
The rubber hoses were very tight.
I used a small flathead screwdriver to carefully help pry the rubber hoses off.

Reverse process for new sensor.
The rubber hoses slid like butter onto the new sensor, easy.

Check Engine light is now gone.
Will follow up again if it comes back or has the same code.
Thanks all.

Awesome news, mine has a few weeks on it and P0402 free. I hope other Maverick owners see this post and save themselves time and money by fixing it DIY style.

Thanks again @Joaquin F

Ordered my 2022 Area 51 Hybrid Maverick on July 7, 2021, picked it up September 29, 2022. Just turned 50,000 miles. Still love the truck.

You probably have the lowest mileage on a MY22 of anyone on this site! I would still get the oil changed at least once per year.
2022 Maverick EB AWD delivered in July 2022. About 5600 miles on the odometer. One oil change to date. No problems. I retired in March 2022 and I sure don't drive much any more. So my Maverick average is about 1500 miles/year. My F250 average is only 500 miles/year.
You have me beat as well. My 2022 AWD Maverick delivered April 2022 has 9200 miles on it. I retired back in 2020.

I don't recall whether I already posted on this thread! I'll risk being boringly redundant. 2022 Lariat hybrid purchased in Jan of said year. I spend a lot of time and effort trying to keep it as new as possible for an outdoor stored vehicle. Absolutely love the truck. Just a pleasure to drive. Good pep, quiet, and smooth handling. Comfy and roomy seating, and great mileage. I still wave or flash my lights at other Maverick drivers, but after 4 years, not getting much of a response other than "do I know you?"
This is how I feel about other drivers when driving my Maverick . . .
