$1100 a year full coverage and new replacement guarantee on the Mav for the first five years.
This policy includes pip and liability on my 2004 escape.
My Mav by itself is $790 a year,
Or $65 per month. $500 deductible.
Rental car insurance included.

It’s the area, I’m in the Appalachian mountains.
We don’t have much traffic.

Most crashes are deer strikes,

We all know Florida auto insurance is a bit high but it’s justified considering the demographics - My State Farm Insurance for my 2025 Maverick Lariat AWD Hybrid is $516 for six months ($1,032 annually) spotless driving record and safe driver discount included

My Progressive policy went up last week. From $107 to $167 a month. Sucks.

Hello,,
I am very close on closing on a 2025 Maverick and checked with State Farm about the insurance of a 2025 Maverick XL, AWD, Hybrid. Almost fell out of my chair when I received the quote. It was originally $ 284.77 and it was then reduced to $ 212.68 which is still very very expensive.
On my current policy with 2 cars (2018 Passat and a 1990 LS400) plus two motorcycles I pay less than that - also with the same State Farm agent. Of course they sent me the typical excuse about all of the safety features cost replacement etc.

Was wondering if this is a general issue with the Maverick or if State Farm is trying to take advantage of the situation? Would be interesting to know who much you guys pay on full coverage and a $ 500.00 deductible?

Thanks,
Mario
Insurance Agent here—

Every carrier has different processes for how they determine premiums, and this response will not apply to every carrier everywhere. Without getting too far into the weeds on how premiums are determined, I'll give you a quick rule of thumb: if your vehicle model is in its first year of production, or if it has a novel update from previous years (things like AWD/Hybrid Mavericks with a newly designed front end, for example), you can expect to see a decent bump in your insurance rates. Parts availability, for repairs, is a significant rating factor in most states, and when there is a lack of after-market and/or salvaged parts available, then carriers end up paying more for parts (if they can be found at all) and totaling out more vehicles that can't be repaired.

My Maverick in NY went from $750 to over $1000 a year!.. I bought a Genesis GV70 and now have it as my master vehicle....insurance on that is $700 and my Mav reduced to just over $700. The Mav is the most expensive insured vehicle I have ever had under AARP!!. To put in perspective I have a Shelby GT500 and a 24 C8 fully loaded both covered with full replacement costs. Together those vehicles cost me $1500 a year for full insurance and they are worth a lot more than the Mav and GV70.

I bought the truck as a cheap (but almost $38K) runabout for towing and carrying stuff but it is by no means cheap to insure. I will not be buying another Ford since insurance on them seems to be way above average.

I pay $2050/year for my FX4 Maverick here in Milwaukee. This is 500K/1Million/500K coverage. That comes out to $170/month. This was as of July 2025.

All these figures are meaningless without spread sheet comparisons of policy coverages, including locations, credit ratings, etc....
When I moved from heavy dfw traffic to country area 40+ miles from Austin my policy premium increased 20-24% due to deer, wild pigs, etc.
