2023 Lariat Hybrid, 18,000 miles always plugged into a Battery Tender JR in the garage. Did BCM reset a week ago.
Started as usual yesterday morning. Drove 20 miles. Parked for 10 minutes. Started fine, drove 1 mile and parked for 45 minutes. Got in, pushed the START button and the dash looked like a pinball machine. Every warning light lit up at least twice. Voltage went from 6 volts, to 9 volts, back to 6 volts and finally settled for 12.6 volts, according to my ScanGuage3.
The ABS warning light was on, but I drove it 20 miles home and nothing bad happened. Haven't checked it this morning.
I will hook up my BlueDriver OBD scanner and see what codes were tripped.

It can, the other scanner goes deeper and offers an explanation. I'll try both.

By the way, I DO have a jump box under the seat. Just in case. Used it once last year when the truck was DEAD after sitting outside overnight.

Good day

I would also suggest to check the tightness of the battery attachment points...if by chance the nuts are loose on your positive or negative posts, that can cause a lot of weird electrical faults/indications.

In my troubleshooting experience, I always check the simplest/easiest items and move up from there.

I hope it isn't anything more serious.

Cheers

In response to this post...any idea why the battery was completely discharged?

I am wondering if your truck has ever exhibited a sudden drain any other time?

There are threads here regarding that and Ford has had to do refresh or update various modules (air conditioning module can be one, if I remember correctly) on some who have suffered this issue.

Anyways, if you check out another member's posts here by the name of Darryl (a Ford tech), he has given great explanations regarding topic.

Just a 2nd thought on my part to try and help you figure out what may be your issue.

I thought the instruction for SC3 indicated that it could pull the codes?

HRG
Yup. When I went out yesterday, the ABS warning light was gone. Told the SC3 to scan. It found the ABS code, and I erased it. If I keep having the problem, I'll hook the BlueDriver OBD2 scanner up.

That would upset me if that happened. I freak out when I start it and see the tpms light on. I don't know what I would do if the dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree.

Sounds like a glitch.
With computer controlled systems, weird things can - and do - happen.
I have seen the "impossible" happen to create severe financial consequences on large scale mult-million dollar systems where no root cause beyond conjecture that a cosmic ray changed the state on a memory location at exactly the wrong time caused the problem.
That could not be proven, but I suspect that it happens.

A problem with ABS won't normally make your battery voltage do wild fluctuations, but the reverse could.
As was suggested, checking your battery connections is a good idea, but it's also possible that there is nothing to find or fix. Weird random behaviors don't often follow a pattern.

Either a new battery or perhaps, even better, a new or slightly used EcoBoost!!!!!:sneaky::teehee:

Just joking. I realize there may be many hybrids out there with no battery/electrical problems, but to see continued problems in a vehicle in its fifth year of manufacture is really not too good, IMHO!!
