I still miss my 72 Duster 340!
I had a 72 Duster with the Slant Six.
I got 18 mpg in town and 21 on the highway:’p
Sky blue,
white vinyl top,
Tan interior,
White pin striping I did myself.

My Cuda did 16 in town and 20 highway.
It was all stock.

Nothing beat the AMC Gremlin with Levi Jean seats.
Oh the memories. My wife had one back in the day. I loved the levi's interior but hated the car. Sold it within 6 months after we married. For those not around in that era, here's a pic of the seats i found online

Outstanding !
Beautiful !

The old cars, I was six feet tall,
I could move the seat so far back I couldn’t reach the foot pedals properly.

Back seats you could have sex in.
Sleep in,
:’P

Can’t count the times I woke up in the back seat with a split tail in some Honky Tonks parking lot.

For the Youngers :

A honky-tonk is a type of lively bar common in the South and Southwest U.S. that features country music, dancing, and a casual atmosphere, often originating from 1920s-1930s Southern "barrelhouse" taverns. These venues feature loud, twangy music with steel guitars and fiddles, often accompanied by themes of heartbreak, vice, and hard living.

If you don’t know what a split tail is you’re likely gay. Right !

Mine was brown with the white pin striping followed by the 340. It had the big Carter 4 barrel carburetor that roared when I stomped it! Sure was fun to drive!

Yep the backseat folded down, cargo area behind that, plenty of room, we took advantage numerous times 😜

The main reason I generally stuck with Mopar back in the day was because the parts were cheaper. :XD

FWIW I did the Dukes of Hazard jump in my 1969 Cuda. On a paved road.
A raised rail road crossing was our launch ramp.

In the air I looked out the side window and directly next to me was a transformer can on a power pole.
The chassis under the engine scooped out some asphalt when it hit.
The hood rippled,
Glass broke,
Not drivable after that.
3 AM, woke up every one down the street.
We took off running and reported it stolen.

I retired or caused so many guardian angels to quit I didn’t get any more after I turned twenty.

It totaled the car but hey making memories was worth it.
I had two buddies in the car with me,
The guy in the back seat screamed like a little girl.
We never let him live that down.
He’d walk into a bar or a party and we’d all scream like school girls.

My first car was the Maverick twin, a 1977 Mercury Comet.
My dad owned a 76’ Baracuda as his daily driver back in the day.

He didn’t like that car. He once said that the Baracuda was such a crappy car, it was the only car that started to rust on the showroom floor.
