I just had a very informative conversation with my dealer and he gave me what may be the best explanation of why some people are getting build date ahead of others with an earlier order date even though they ordered the exact same vehicle. It seems that Ford is putting priority on your reservation date when pulling through orders to be scheduled. I know in my case, my reservation date (7/14) is a full month earlier than my order date (8/16). So I'm curious about the people getting build dates that have only recently ordered, as to what their reservation dates were. Maybe we should be tracking that on the order tracker as well considering this information. BTW, I would highly recommend my dealer (D&D Ford in Greer, SC) to anyone living in northern GA, western NC and the Upstate of SC, or anyone else than doesn't mind traveling a greater distance.

I welcome any feedback on this from those of you that are still waiting for build dates.
I went back through my emails.
I reserved 6/27 but I didn't order until August. Hasn't been pulled for production yet.

Gotta "love" the dealer markups. One 25 miles away has a retail order due in mid October with a $2500 markup. Hope it sits in the showroom forever.
sadly it’ll sell, even with that markup, it’s still enough value in its price category that someone will buy it. I compare this to a smaller SUV inside but with the truck bed equates to the cargo on a much bigger suv which I was originally thinking about (think Pathfinder/highlander).

I almost went Hybrid highlander but just couldn’t for that price, it made no sense. Mav was just right size/specs and the price sweetened the deal.

I received confirmation of order on 6/30 for xlt hybrid on 9/8 I signed up on ford.com to check my status they show no orders or reservations for me.i contacted my dealer they said order was in. I go back to email from Ford on 6/30 and it's been changed to a welcome member confirmation. So now what should I do wait it out or reorder from dealer again. Also I do have the soft tonneau cover and removable bed mat so I'm sure it's gonna be awhile until I'm scheduled.
I've had a Ford account for several years because I own a few other Ford vehicles. I even placed my reservation for the Maverick while I was logged into my ford account. I even received an email for my order confirmation back in June. But to this day, I show no orders/reservations on myford page.

Not at all.

Ordered 2022 Maverick XLT Hybrid on 8/23 at AutoNation Ford in Frisco TX. Dealer had me sign the order and made a copy of my DL. I had dealer put priority code 10 on the order and made sure my email address was also included.

When I got home I already had an email from Ford that my order was confirmed.

So that meant that the dealer did everything correctly and that Ford could see my order for consideration of building it.

So Step 1 is to have the dealer enter everything correctly into the Ford order system as Tim stated.

Step 2 is to make sure you don't have constrained or late arrival items on your order.

I removed from my original order the "hard drop in bedliner", "splash guards" and "bed mat". All of these can be added after I receive my truck.

Next step is wait for Ford to schedule your build which for me happened in 25 days when I received an email from Ford that my Maverick was scheduled for production.

My build is this:

2022 Maverick XLT Hybrid
Co-Pilot360
Manual rear sliding window
110V/400W Outlet in the Cab

Maverick Scheduled #1.JPG

Maverick Scheduled #2.JPG
What is priority 10? Mine says priority 19. Also, I don't have an order number on my paperwork. Having a hard time talking to anybody. The guy I was dealing with moved out of state.

It means how many orders that dealer will have to schedule for a build date.
Thanks. Also, I question the guy "in charge of Mav orders" at my dealership about the order process as per your video. I am going to paste his reply here so you can maybe tell me if he is following a normal procedure! Thanks for your videos and help.

"No problem, the order I punch in to WBDO the day the order is placed and the other system (not USOB) is the Maverick Order Verification Portal I submit the order/DL/down payment information. Then the order sits there as an "unscheduled/clean" order until we (the dealership) are giving allocaiton from Ford to build however many that month. Our allocation could be for 6 trucks or 18 trucks or 25 trucks - it depends on Fords capability at the plant. They can only build so many each day/month and there are over 3000 dealers in the nation placing orders. When we are giving our allocation, Ford goes down the list starting with the first order place - so by time stamp to select the orders. When Ford selects the order to schedule they have to look at what each order has on it to determine if it can be built or not that month. This is why I mentioned changing to Ecoboost as there are less customers ordering that compared to the Hybrid.

Let me know if this clears it up or if you have any other questions."

Question, is this the same process for Dealers in Canada? I sent your video to my sales representative, hopefully he doesn't think I'm telling him how to do his job ;)

Just FYI, for order confirmation, it might be best to call Ford directly. I did this morning.

My dealer said my ROVP was not approved yet. They also gave me the wrong order number (probably gave me an internal number or something). However, I called Ford, and they were able to look up my order based upon my phone #, mailing address, and email address. They confirmed my order was accepted back in early August. They also provided me with my Ford order number and dealer sales #, for future reference.

My build order, of course, has not been pulled yet, but at least I know everything was submitted correctly and I’m on the list from which they pull orders for production.

Here’s the number I called. Had to wait on hold for about 10 minutes: (800) 392-3673. However, the customer rep was delightful — very helpful.

Just thought I would share.

This video is totally confusing. In the first half Tim describes how customer orders verified thru the Retail Order Verification process are built above dealer allocations. In the second half he describes how dealer allocations may delay scheduling of your order. The two half’s are in contradictions with each other! Someone please resolve this conflict.

Retail orders are prioritized over stock orders. Allocations is a separate prioritization process.

Correct, if the dealer puts in the order for a customer as a retail (stock order) then they will be over looked if there are retail orders in there. Ford is not scheduling stock orders until they get the custom orders fulfilled.

I made changes to my order two separate times after initial confirmation email. I received no additional emails. But I did get a revised DORA from my dealer.

Thanks. I am having the same experience but my dealer has been less than pleasant when it comes to communicating, the latest of which is they wouldnt change my priority. Dealers are not all created equal. Glad to have the community and @fordvideoguy around
