Will we ever see a Maverick hybrid in Tremor form?

Been a nasty winter here, and driving my hybrid AWD on Blizzak WS90s in all kids of crap that dropped on us, I'd say if you get it stuck it's your fault. This is bearing in mind to work with the ground clearance you've got and not driving over big lumps of rock just to drive over them instead of around.

The electric motors offer max torque from zero RPM btw.

Good point. I have to keep in mind that the hybrid may do well on unpaved roads and those with
uneven surfaces, but it's not intended to be an off-road truck. And if I push it beyond its limits
I'll be sorry.

I see no reason the Torque Vectoring differential can't be installed. AWD and Diff control is all electronic. The eCVT would have the best low speed control having nearly infinite available ratios and instant high torque at 0rpm. I see no real need for the 2L in the Maverick. The Lobo should have the 2.3L the rest should be Hybrid.

It did pretty good. Perhaps a Maverick hybrid would do just as well. Btw, I have a 2025 Rav4 hybrid
AWD. I'd be too scared to take it on this off-road course. :)
Scared no, but I’m not putting my Ecoboost into water like in that video, mud getting in everything.
My electronics and my brakes will never see that kind of abuse, even if I had a tremor.
My Mav is not a jeep.

You can get close with the current AWD hybrid with 4k tow package. Get some good light weight all terrain tires and a 1.5 inch lift. I put Firestone Destination A/T 2s in 235/65 r17 on mine last spring and love it! We had a bad winter this year and my AWD hybrid with the ATs handled it like a champ!

As popular as the hybrid option is, the Ecoboost still accounts for 40-45% of Maverick sales. Right, wrong or indifferent, some of us are willing to sacrifice some MPG for the performance and driving experience the turbo drivetrain offers. If the Maverick only came in Hybrid, I'd almost certainly be a Ranger owner right now :D

Also, yes, the 2.3L would have been excellent in the Lobo.

It's too bad they don't offer the FX4/Tremor front recovery hooks on any Hybrid. Of course, you could always add a dinghy baseplate and use that as a way of having a forward recovery point.

If we got the PHEV Ranger was available in North America I would have one of those instead. It out tows the F-150 that my Maverick replaced, And could have better fuel economy than the Maverick. But alas the boomer buyers are afraid of electricity.

If you look at how this unibody Hybrid does in this review, a Hybrid Tremor shouldn't do any worse. The big question is, will Hybrid buyers be willing to pay $40K+? Ford certainly isn't going to offer it at less than an EB version.

Oooo. How would the H.V. battery like that water?

A 2.3L for the Maverick Raptor!
