In all seriousness. Long time ago before widely available consumer synthetic was a thing like Mobile 1.
I knew guys who would mix some of that stuff, with their engine oil. They swore by it. It was available to me, but I never tried it.
It makes sense that Mobile would use that technology when they were making Mobil 1.

I wonder how big Amsoil would be had they went into retail versus using their multi-level pyramid marketing platform ?
Amsoil is very good synthetic oil and it was available before mobile 1.

Jumping on to an old thread. Been searching for how much oil it takes to get from the lowest hole in the dip stick to the top hole (or top of hash marks). One of my vehicles (can't remember which one) has "1 quart" and arrows pointing at the holes. Not like I'm going to use a measuring cup but it would be helpful to know that if you were on the bottom hole you could just pour in a quart and call it good.

2.5L hybrid If you do a normal oil change 5-3/4 quarts, but 6 will be just over full.

I start my changes with a hot engine and go fast. Drain pan, then filter. Then I put the empty old filter back on, put the plug back, and run the engine for 2 or 3 seconds. Now the old filter will be full of old oil again and more oil in the pan. Final drain and filter then add 6-1/4 quarts to full.

My dealership charges an additional fee for any amount over 6 quarts which I haven’t seen with my 2.5L Hybrid and just completed my second oil change
