I'm curious for those ONLY who have actually done their own oil change and have a hybrid:
Did you enter 5.7 as manual says which is 5 qrt and 22 oz.?
I know you probably done didn't count the ounces but maybe you did.
But maybe some of you only entered 5 qrts and a half and that filled it to the top of the oil line of the stick.
Thank you respondents for your information.

I dump in 5 quarts, then add whatever it takes to get the level to the top of the crosshatch pattern.

It’s a little less than the 5.7 because that’s the full capacity of the engine. You could let it drip for days and not get all the oil out. I’ve done two changes so far and it’s been around 5.5 qts or a bit less and I let it drain til slow drips.

Me: '24 hybrid - do all my own oil changes. I use a 910S Motorcraft oil filter and my dipstick shows full after I pour in 6 qts. [Mobil 1 0w-20 full syn hybrid specific oil - 5 qts from the jug+1 qt.]

I checked it after 5 and deciced to go 6 total. And I'll do it again. 3 tenth's on the stick (level in the pan) is not much.
Is it overfilled a tiny bit? Probably, but I could care less.

First oil change I did 5.7, slightly over filled. Second oil change I did 5.5, right on full mark.

Just like filling the gas tank.
I fill it to the top.
Rock the truck back and forth to get the air out.
Then top it off. 🤣

Don't forget to add 2 cans of STP.
