Adieu to my Maverick

It's not without a little regret I dropped my 2024 Maverick off at Sound Ford in Renton, Wa Monday. My Wife and I are retired and elected to become a one car family. We needed a truck that can pull our travel trailer and a new Ranger is the ticket. 2026 XLT 4X4 2.7 advanced trailer towing and 301A group. You might be surprised at the fact Ford is the only midsize truck with a V6. Nissan may offer one but their Frontier is totally dated. Love the Ranger but gas milage is about half of the Mavrick will miss him a lot and miss this forum. My best to all the members. Tom Kauffman

I just traded my F-150 with the 2.7 after 6 years of use. If I were to have purchased a Ranger instead of a Maverick, it would definitely have the 2.7 engine. That is one of Ford's better engines except for the stupid plastic drain plug design. At least a person doesn't have to have long arms and disassemble the driver side wheel well lining to change an oil filter like the 2.3 requires.

A Ranger with the 2.7 EB will do you well. The 2.3 EB is strong, but the 2.7 is really strong. lots of power.

even worse, you have to drink that wretched, over-roasted, burnt "coffee".

(well, I suppose if you go for the frou-frou drinks with a splash of coffee in them, you might not notice how amazingly bad it tastes . . . )
