I mean the fact that the Hybrid is keeping up as well as it did (talking fractions of a second at every data point) thats pretty dang good. To be fair though, I have seen much better times from the 2.0 on reviewers 0-60 times.
Like dynos, the numbers aren't as important as the comparison being apples to apples on the same day, temps, driver, etc.

I'm a little mystified by the comments about the exterior of the truck being boring, when that's exactly why I like it. It looks like a truck. It looks like a Ford truck.
I wouldn't want something that didn't look like a regular truck, can't stand the Santa Cruz styling.
Right. Journalists have bought into the concept of "identifying as" in various other contexts for some time. Anybody who ever had a compact truck 15 years ago didn't give a .... what the vehicle was categorized as or what anybody else thought about it.

The performance numbers are close.
The mileage numbers are not even close.
And eco boost cost $1,000 more.
So the only negative to the hybrid is a loss of a little space under the back seat.
I have said all along the Mavericks sweet spot is 42 mpg city and $19,995 msrp. Iā€™m glad I waited for the hybrid, my delivery is between Christmas and New Years.

It's a truck. Let's see a real test, 40 bags of mulch (1,000 lbs.) and a helper, 0 to 60 to 0. Time and distance.

Not 1k in the bed 0-60, but they did a "frustration test"
FRUSTRATION TEST6.8 sec @ 457.2 ft*5.7 sec @ 385.8 ft**
* 35-55 mph, 4% grade acceleration with 1,500-pound trailer
** 35-55 mph, 4% grade acceleration with 3,000-pound trailer

Did they stop and what was the stopping distance?
I don't see anything about stopping with a load, but they measure 60-0 braking. The hybrid was significantly shorter.

The 2nd Con on the Con list they made will make 2.0 owners get up in arms (even though they havenā€™t gotten behind to the wheel of a hybrid to compare). ā€œwhat? How dare they say the 2.0 isnā€™t as good as the hybrid?!ā€ šŸ˜„

"Country boys will survive..."... Apparently in the suburbs, based off of your picture.

Ha! Also, I donā€™t think a half second in the 0-60 will be blowing my hybrid doors off. But if it does, Iā€™ll buy some new ones with my fuel savings.

But I am really digging the alto blue color the more I see it!
