Just wondering if anyone has heard anything about the block heater repair coming from Ford ? What a joke ,selling a truck in Canada and not getting a repair out for the whole winter , I highly advise anyone to not buy a Ford , this is completely ridiculous.

You need to become what we call "Winter Texans" that flock here to South Padre Island, beach, heavy drinking, great food and BTW, it's supposed to be close to 90 degrees today!

Dealer advised me of the block heater recall and asked when I wanted to bring it in. I said, "no problem, let's book it and also do an oil change and transmission flush and re-fill". Dropped the Maverick off this morning. Dealer calls and tells me front rotors need machining. That, plus the oil change and the transmission flush and fill = $1000. Oh, and the block heater? They advised me when I picked it up that the parts aren't available yet.

How many miles do you have on your hybrid? Doubtful the rotors needed any work and I can't believe they charged you that much (I know its CAD) but you could have replaced them for less than they charged to machine old ones.

We have two Mavericks, a '23 Hybrid, and a '22 Ecoboost. This was the Ecoboost. It has 40k kilometers on it. I've already done the back brakes on it, too. The all wheel drive one seems to go through brakes a lot quicker than the hybrid.

Did you have a pulsation when you were on the brakes? If not I dont see why they would need machining.

I have a 2025 Lariat hybrid with block heater that I custom ordered.

I don't have any active recalls for the block heater.
