I decided to splurge...Lol. Ordered from TonneauCoversWorld.com (same as RealTruck.com). Not in stock but about a 2-3 week lead time. Ships direct from factory, which says 15 days to build/ship. If you call and talk to them you can get them down more. Got it for $1009+tax w/free shipping without even haggling (YMMV). Another member ordered Nov 29th and it already delivered.Ooooooh! That's a nice cover. I came to the conclusion that a secure tonneau was much more important than tires with great off road performance. Where did you order from? Realtruck is showing not available for maverick.
The thing about the pirellis is not that they are bad tires, just that they are not spectacular off road performers. They're fine on roads and for poor weather/light off road duty.
Yeah, maybe I will end up keeping mine afterall. I planned on getting $80-$100 trade value like I have seen many people post they have gotten from Discount Tire. But the closest Discount Tire to me says they will give me only $25. The next closest one says they won't give me anything. I emphasized they will be brand new, and I would drive straight from the dealer, they can verify mileage on the odometer.
I then checked Les Schwab. They said they would give me $50 per tire if they were perfect. But with the price difference between Les Schwab and Discount Tire, it's still slightly cheaper to go with Discount Tire with $25 credit.
So, stock Pirelli's don't sound half bad, if they are performing in the snow. Hopefully they will do well in the soppy wet snow, like we get here in Western Washington.
Yeah, I have to report to work at 4 am on snow days (25 miles) and drive snow routes and check on facilities access for 5,000 people. Before they start their commute. So I have to be able to get around regardless of weather/road conditions. And if I was getting $360-$400 credit, then upgrading to a super aggressive AT tire is a no-brainer. But now it sounds like the Pirellis are worth trying.Pirelli's are my preferred tire, I run them on my 07 Focus and 96 Villager (And yea they are great in the WA (Lakewood area) Snow) , have never had an issue with snow, or wet, and these are just the normal All season tires, i would expect that ones that are "Off road" rated might do a little better.
Yeah I saw a few reviews with the stock pirellis, I think just airing down in some of those reviews, they might have been slightly better, and just enough to get through.I think the complaint against the Pirellis was that they are more of a road tire than an AT tire. I never really saw any complaints about them on road. But off road the performance difference is pretty clear between the stock Pirellis and say a falken wildpeak. I think one of the youtube reviewers did a comparison and the difference was pretty obvious.
Personally I could care less, mine is coming with the Continentals which will eventually be replaced with a nice Michelin road tire.
are you in ND?I have the fx4 package with Pirelli tires. After reading so many bad reviews about their snow capabilities I was a bit worried. Today we had our first winter storm with 10 inches of wet snow. I plowed my driveway but our road wasn't. I needed a coffee so bad, I drove through the unplowed road and never spun a wheel in normal awd. I am impressed with the tires and the Maverick.

In lots of scenarios, like my own, there’s good trade value for tires that are brand new. Discount Tire gave me $400 for the Pirelli’s, after that trade in and a military discount I was able to get a much better tire for only about $300.I’m surprised how many on the forum immediately changed tires because they feel the scorpions suck. Goodness, it’s not a wrangler.
