Hi Bill,
Please share your experience…
- Does residue and/or debris get trapped underneath?
- Does your deflector cause any hood distortion at high speeds?
Thank you in advance,
Larry

I’ve traveled at high speeds and I haven’t noticed any distortion to the hood. I have no complaints after several months. I would install it again if given the opportunity.

Thank you for your input Graham. I am still unsure what I am doing, if anything about a bug shield. I jumped the gun and ordered the Ford version but am not sure I like the tape on, low profile of it compared to the bolt on wrap around, higher profile one. I also ordered the color matched “Maverick” letters to put on there bug shield. The second accessory mistake made so far. The first was the aluminum plates that mount by the muffler to cover the hole leading to the rear fender.Does residue and/or debris get trapped underneath? Not so far. Not even snow.
Does your deflector cause any hood distortion at high speeds? NO, I have had the Maverick up to 90 MPH & deflector is still on truck.
Also we have gone through a carwash a number of times & deflector is still on truck.
Now front mudflaps are a different story. Cannot keep them on in all this deep snow.

Started with hood open to locate the four buttons under the rubber gasket to remove. I used blue masking tape & a pencil to mark the holes.

Hey JD this is the RoadMaster BasePlate and accessories I connect it to my MotorCoach using the RoadMaster NightHawk Towbar its been a great setup I’ve flat towed the Maverick over 6,000 miles since the installation I really like the clean installation and it performs great - I have a BlueOx setup for my 2004 Jeep Wrangler TJ but after working with RoadMaster while they developed the baseplate for the 2025 refresh it was never a doubt I’d go with them.Which one is this?
