No more hate for the 2025 facelift's new front end design?

I have thought it looks like An After Thought more than a design. Ford probably found the head lights and said "Let's make the front end fit these lights", instead of "Let's make the lights fit the front end"! JMO

Until I unloaded the 30 1.5 cubic feet bags of mulch last summer and thought man it was a lot easier unloading the mulch then when I had F-150's.

Either use a steep driveway, or jack up the front end of the f-150.

I have no idea of the drag coefficient of the Maverick. Haven't ever thought to check. But I suspect they're not significantly different because given the striving for getting every tenth of mpg in order to improve their CAFE, I doubt if they'd increase the drag on a vehicle. That just my opinion though

Agreed that any refresh would not ignore impact to mpg's.

The frontal area--a major component of drag coefficient--has not changed. It's a little smoother now, but that won't have a drastic effect on aerodynamics.

Agreed - Considering that no reputable source appears to have been published, it's unlikely that a better answer than yours is forthcoming.

The new front end is a style difference, and the truck's shape is the same.

I happen to like the refresh look myself, but considering that the '25 enabled the AWD Hybrid version that I wanted, which gets great mpg's, the trucklett apparently didn't need a large drag reduction to achieve that.

I think for me it has the appearance of being an afterthought. I believe that is because it looks like a piece stuck on top of the bumper cover. IMO it would be better if it was attached to the grill or at least looked as if it were a continuation of the body from the fenders. Makes it look like erector set bumper pieces put together as an after thought. I Like the shape of the headlights but, the execution of the filler panel is lacking.

Of course that much of a change in lambda would be enough to collapse the universe

Any change in wheel design or the underbody shield would have far more effect than putting a couple of mudflaps over where the lights should be.

i don't get the hate. if you're spending all your time looking at the front of the car you're obviously not inside enjoying driving it..

You're right. The quest for getting the tiniest tweak of mileage efficiency for a fleet CAFE improvement doesn't translate into a better user experience.

It's like they were trying different things then, at the end of the day, they said f it, we'll just put that plastic flap there and go out for dinner.
