Did anyone try the accessory power connections in the bed to see that would trigger full 12v charging?

  3. Random Maverick Photos of the Day Thread! 📸

bought the camper while waiting 13 onths for the Mav! And they match!
  4. Bed Mat lifts at freeway speeds. Did you bolt yours down or use adhesive or this only happens to me?

I have a similar bed mat and it only began lifting when I put a bin in the front of the bed changing the aerodynamic flow in the bed. Since ii have a load bar in the truck I used it to clamp the sides to the uprights at the back of the bed. Hasn’t moved since and when I need the load bar there...
  5. No more hate for the 2025 facelift's new front end design?

I think for me it has the appearance of being an afterthought. I believe that is because it looks like a piece stuck on top of the bumper cover. IMO it would be better if it was attached to the grill or at least looked as if it were a continuation of the body from the fenders. Makes it look...
  6. Random Maverick Photos of the Day Thread! 📸

Solid stack of 2x6 only time I felt any body roll. Did this three times. Didn’t really affect mpg.
  7. Driver side Mirror Cover Removal

Found it. I had to replace the driver side mirror after my wife got too close to a wall in the parking garage at work. First, remove the mirror glass, if you don’t have plastic trim tools try a plate spatula or wooden spoon. Form pressure increasing gently till it pops off. Next, remove...
  8. What was/is your wait time for your order?

9/16/2022 ordered delivered 10/2/2023. Well worth the wait.
  9. Is anyone else surprised by how small the washer fluid reservoir is.

The problem is that you can’t see it!
  10. Is anyone else surprised by how small the washer fluid reservoir is.

When did washer fluid reservoirs become part of the fender. Long narrow and filled from the center but not from the highest point. I prefer old school square box in the corner of the engine compartment where you can see how full it is. Maybe we just need to park facing up an incline to fill...
  11. One Word to Describe Your Maverick – What’s Yours?😆

Amazing it hauls, tows, carries people and is a great road trip vehicle.
  12. Towed for first time with Maverick + 1959 Aloha Vintage Trailer

My experience is a little better. Towing my 1999 StarCraft pop up. I averaged 19 round trip from Las Vegas to Williams. I suppose the lack of exposed wind face behind the truck made a difference.
  13. Curt Echo Bluetooth Brake Controller reviews / feedback?

It was very easy. The pigtail seemed short until I got into the fender from underneath after I removed the harness from the the back of the cover plate. There is enough wire on the harness I think to reach the front of the bed. The 7 way is lined up by placing the top of the housing in the...
  14. Towing a 1500# trailer in the mountains. How to wire the maverick for 7 pins?

Here is my pop up and hybrid. have 2,000 miles with this pair. Two trips from Las Vegas to Temecula and back. Climb from Primm into Ca. Is steep. Coming east on I15 is both the Cahoun Pass Climb and even more challenging is the the climb east from Baker Ca. 17 miles of increasing grade to 7%...
  15. Towing a 1500# trailer in the mountains. How to wire the maverick for 7 pins?

Ok, with the Curt Echo bt Controller it takes power from the 12v accessory/ charging blade in the truck side plug to apply the brakes on the trailer side. You connect the 12v flex bed 12v power wire to the accessory/12v blade in the plug. Just cap off the brake wire on the 4 to 7 pin plug...
  16. Towing a 1500# trailer in the mountains. How to wire the maverick for 7 pins?

I used this 4 to 7 blade connector. https://a.co/d/iIPbPO1 Where you can see the 4way in the picture on my other post it is in the location on the mount included with the kit. I did use a grinder to make room for the four way plug on the corner of factory plate. Drilled 4 holes for mounting...
  17. Towing a 1500# trailer in the mountains. How to wire the maverick for 7 pins?

See this one also. The echo is the simplest and least invasive way of adding a brake controller. I have about 2,000 miles towing my pop up with a curt echo controller. After doing some research and finding that each electric brake (each wheel) uses about 1.5 amp max, a single axle is around...
  18. Who all here currently has an XL or has one on order?

2023 XL Hybrid, tow package, added 7 blade trailer connector to use with Curt Echo brake controller. Copilot 360. If you ask me, not making the built in brake controller in the 2 k capacity is a miss by ford. Nevada requires brakes at 1600lbs. My pop up hitched and open. Maverick tows better...
  19. Flushing my Mav and getting a Toyota

I disagree, my experience has been only great with my 2023 XL hybrid. Have nearly 1500 miles towing my pop up and just about 7000 total miles in 8 months even had all of the recall updates with no problems. I love my Maverick and it is the perfect vehicle for my needs as a daily driver getting...

Try this if you want to be sure. Can even use with the wheels on. https://a.co/d/fbaWQBE
