I would love to have a set of heated wiper blades!
It's disappointing that they removed them, but understandable as they're not universally needed. It would have been a great optional feature however.

It seems like there isn't any known/documented reason why the temp indicator changes to amber under 5F. 🤷‍♂️

I’d be curious if/when the display changes for our Canadian neighbors. Is some part of your truck confused and using Celsius?

Have you messed around with Forscan at all?

The outside temperature display in the dash changes from white to orange at 4 degrees Fahrenheit (-15.5c) and under. Is this a hybrid only phenomena? I'm not sure what it's trying to tell me, as the manual states that some components may be affected at -13F. It's not indicating freezing/ice temperatures as that's WELL below when frost would start. What's special about 4 degrees F?

My 2025 AWD XLT with the 2.0 EB is the same at 4 degrees or below so it's not only Hybrids.

Less than 5 degrees Celsius. It comes on orange at 4 degrees. I did turn it on with FORScan on my previous Maverick. I can’t remember if I turned it on or not for this one. But it does come on

None of the Mavericks had heated wiper blades.

The bottom of the windshield had a heating element where the wipers park so you can melt them quicker in the morning so they won't stay frozen to the glass and potentially rip the rubber off if you actuate them (I guess).

My hope is to NEVER see that happen. Thus far 23 degrees has been the lowest I've encountered. And that's too cold for this north Florida resident.

The numbers turning orange is just another stupid ‘feature’ that Ford may or may not have given you. I see the orange numbers often and it makes no sense to me.

The user interface on the screen was coded by people that hopefully no longer work at Ford. How can a multi-billion dollar company write corrupt software, know it’s corrupt, and still permit it to go into their vehicles?

I am referring to the the fact that you can’t keep things like ‘trip 1’ on the screen when you start the vehicle. Oh but alas, it does occasionally pop up on my vehicle even when I did not have it on during my prior drive. One of many stupid ‘features’ of my truck.

This is my understanding as well. My 22' Lariat has the little horizontal wires down along the bottom of the glass. I believe there are threads/posts about availability (at the time) and cost of a replacement when so many seemed to be be getting them cracked/chipped. I believe there is also some sort of cabin noise reduction claim from a coating on the glass? There's a name on the glass in the lower right front as I recall. Too damn cold to go to the garage now to look, but maybe Acoustic something.

As alluded to, I'm sure the programmer was thinking temperature in Celsius and just checking for the numeral displayed to determine the color, forgetting that the display may be showing in Fahrenheit.

And yes, annoying that the right screen can't stay in "My View" and goes back to the default list of screens at every start. And that My View resets constantly, and brake coach turns itself back on, etc.

It would be WILD if they mistakenly used 5F in place of 5C (as theorized earlier in this thread) because that is a MASSIVE difference in temperature... it's 36 degrees UNDER the frost notifcation setting and therefore USELESS as a warning.

(800) 392-3673 is the Ford Support number, I might see if I can file a bug report tomorrow if I have the time.
