I'm installing a transceiver unit on the unused amp mount behind the rear seat in my 25 Hybrid. It requires a control head that will be mounted in the cubby behind the carplay display. The two are connected by a Cat-6 cable. What's the best route to take to get a cable between those two locations?

Underneath the floor mats next to the center console would be easiest. Once at the backset, route it left or right in front of the under-seat storage, then between the door and the back seat.

I'm hoping to hide the cable permanently by running it inside things, not under the mats.

I know I can route inside the channel along the passenger side along the bottom of the doors and behind the glove box, but it involves a lot of trim. Would be interested in knowing if there is an easy cable path straight down the centre underneath the console storage.

The door sills are the best route if you're looking for a clean installation, IMO.

Your question has been answered already.
Tip:
If you plan on any dashcam/stereo wiring, do it all at the same time so you
feel the pain of the plastics few times as possible.
