Your dealer sure as hell should have known that.

You are going to have a hard time finding 0w-20 that isn't full synthetic.

I'd suggest going through your owners manual; which tells you how to determine when to change it and what oil to use.

Your dealer seems to be finding a way to get more $ out of you saying every 5k miles.

Don't be fooled by texts and postcards from the dealer - know your manual section on maintenance.

NOT required 5000 miles unless you drive it hard towing and the OLM says to change it - in which case likely little EV usage then and all ICE miles. Then that could be the case.
Otherwise you did maybe 3000 miles on the ICE.

You have a 2025 - it spells out exactly how many total miles traveled, and how many in EV mode. Subtract!

The Hybrid is required to use 0W20 full synthetic that meets the specified Ford spec. I suspect that its the same as the GM Dexos2 spec, but cannot confirm that. Note that it must be full synthetic. If you choose to ignore the oil life monitor, most people should follow the severe service oil change schedule, not the easy-driving and essy weather schedule.

My first 2025 Lariat Hybrid oil change had semi on the paperwork and 0/20 on the window sticker. The service guy argued that semi is what is required however the service manager assured me it is full synthetic and offered to drain the oil and let me watch them put full synthetic in. I accepted his word for it and he apologized for the situation and gave me another free oil change. Clearly he is trained in customer service.
I gave him a fun book to read on examples of great customer service entitled “Our Bathrooms Are Not For Customers “. I love this dealer.

Getting ready to do a 10,000 mile oil change in a couple hundred miles at the 25,000 mile mark.
I'm using up my last Motorcraft filter. Mobile 1 filters after this.

Total material cost less than $45.

My first oilchange the couldn't even read the 710 cap and put in 5W30 semi. It fired up super quiet and then I looked at the windshield sticker stating that it was 5W30 for the EcoBoost. I had an argument with the service manager about putting the wrong oil in and they finally agreed that they had put in the wrong oil because "all Mavericks get 5W30". Duh!! They did another oilchange and fixed the problem. Now i think they know.

Plan to do the same thing, except I am an Amsoil user and have been for 25 years .
Once a year or 15k miles whichever comes first.

Every 5,000 on the Ecoboost is a bit overkill but not much, I do this.
If I owned the Hybrid I’d do every 7,500,
But that’s me based on getting over a half million trouble free miles with
10,000 mile oil change intervals with one engine and several past 300,000

Looks like the right stuff

I have two nearly identical sets of Valvoline hybrid to do mine starting when I hit 1k.

I figured every 10,000 miles, gives me roughly 8,000 miles of engine run time. And it turns out to be about a year in length. So, either way, it is time to be changed.
