Update. We are well into season and I am happy to report that Canadians are back in full strength. Turns out the reports were inaccurate. Let the syrup flow baby.

I don't know your source, but this certainly contradicts what I can perceive around me. There are now other reasons than just tariffs to explain it, as you might already know. More intrusive and frequent customs controls (biometrics, increased likelihood of undergoing a full search including mobile phone inspection), all the absurdities surrounding fentanyl and firearms, and the constant threats towards our sovereignty are further examples. Now we have to add the brand new "special fees" to visit your national parks. Canadians will probably return in greater numbers once the God-Emperor is gone, but I'm afraid something is broken, and it may take time for things to return to normal. It is sad for ordinary people, families and hard workers who depend on us, such as the tourism industries and other heavily boycotted sectors, but let us not forget that our economy has also been severely affected. Therefore, measures had to be put in place to exert pressure from within, hoping common sense will put an end to all this madness. We used to be the best neighbors in the world, but someone decided to change everything overnight to serve his own interests, and you know the rest. I do hope that this is only temporary

Not 100% political. There are, in my experience, great people everywhere regardless of which side of whatever fence they are on. We have relatives all over the US. Sadly, the cost of traveling to the states is becoming prohibitive with the exchange rate, so we will put the funds toward a summertime vacation instead.
