Sadly that phrase covers a multitude of actual DTC codes.
And yes many posts on it - for a variety of issues eventually discovered.

If you use Fordpass - sometimes it'll report the actual code there - which then will be useful to compare or research.

But at this point - you could have a dozen potential codes behind that phrase.

I carry my own code reader, all times. Helpful when on the road, to do decision to keep driving or not.

One time in my old F250 got alert of tire pressure. Checked code on the WWW. Turns out interference. Wife on her Apple IPad, and thru RF, learn in some cases that interferes with tire pressure sensors signal to truck body computer, gives erroneous message.

I’m taking truck into shop Monday. Will report back. FYI the wrench icon no longer showing up on dash.
Is there an update? Mine just did this today. I did nothing that should have caused this, but I was driving around in some slippery snow in the neighborhood with traction control off.

Thanks, I think my wrench has also gone away. I did do an ODB2 scan for codes, there were some old codes that had been archived including the code for the crash camera not being clear from last night, but nothing in regards to this drivetrain issue. I'll see tomorrow if the issue persists. Being new years eve, I'll have to wait for taking it to the dealership if it persists.

Yup it's definitely cleared, including in the app, but it did leave an archive of the error in the message list. I've made a note of it and will track over time if there are further events. I'm going to skip the dealer treatment, I suspect they'd just do a scan, find nothing and send me on my way. Especially for the first time.

I’m due for oil change so it’s semi convenient to take in!
