It's really fun how people want to discount what Ford was able to achieve with the HF55 because the stated HP/torque ratings did not change.

If a 2024 Corvette ran 0-60 in 5 seconds and they improved it for 2025 to run in 4.3 seconds people would think that is incredible. Ford shaves .7 seconds off the hybrid's 0-60 time while adding AWD and keeping the efficiency the same as 2024 and......"it's just .7 seconds, nobody would notice that".

It's been posted before but obviously folks refuse to read it so I'll post it again:

This actually explains a lot. I couldn’t put my finger on it but now it makes sense. I came from driving a two point 0 all-wheel drive and honestly the straight line from my 2025 lariat all-wheel-drive is so strong. I don’t miss the 2.0 engine at all. I had never driven the previous year hybrid so I had nothing to compare it against.
It really doesn't explain a lot of what you're feeling, not when you realize that the same magazine achieved 0-60 in a 2.0 AWD Maverick in 5.9 seconds. But, 6.7 seconds isn't going to be obviously longer than 5.9.

It's enough quicker that side by side, the 25 can change lanes by the 30 mph mark or so if needed off a light. It's just way more responsive off a start. At speed not much difference, but also the 25 tops out at 113 mph vs 110 on the earlier trucks too.
suspect a laptop can give you the extra 3 mph.( it good rid of my start/stop annoyance)

I know the numbers don’t back me up but I’d sure miss my 250 hp and 277 ft lbs of torque if I sold my 2024 Eco for the combined ICE and electric 191 hp of the hybrid. No matter how it felt from a stand still.

Having owned both, the improvement is immediately noticeable the first time you open it up off a stop light.

An increase of 63 ft lb of torque available at 0 RPM will do that!

I read that that it was only the 4K tow package in the 25 hybrid AWD where the final drive ratio was lowered to provide more low speed oomph and that ratio wasn't installed on the other 25 hybrids.
Edit: it wasn't the hybrid, it was the ecoboost..

I'm not a speed whore, but I'd be interested in the AWD for the few times a year I'm on snow and ice. And I guess the 4k towing might come in handy once every 2-3 years.
If the upcharge was only like $1k, I would get it over the FWD, even though I'd rarely "need" it. Sucker born every minute, and I was born on a minute a while ago.

Updated post 23.
The specs shown don't include the changes made by the 4K package, which lowers the standard drive ratio.
That’s not a reputable site in my opinion especially when I’ve quoted from Ford hybrids with 4K get no additional cooling.
