I didn't think I changed anything.
Still set for automatic lights.
Now dark when I enter and try to find the ignition with the key in the dark.
Small problem I know but any ideas?
Had this 24 for almost 2 years now no problems but this small annoyance.

Searching other posts it tells me this may be deep sleep. I drive it everyday and the battery is fine.
so if this is deep sleep how do you get it out of it?

Deep sleep is when the modem is disabled - that's it.
So no remote access on Fordpass - and it alerts you to that fact.

You have battery saver being enabled.
Both battery saver, which happens first, and deep sleep mode, which happens later - are to conserve the battery so you can start it.
They are enabled when the voltage goes too low.

How do you know the battery is fine?
Because it starts?
That's probably because battery saver is working. And that can happen for months.
And it doesn't mean the battery is fine either just because it starts.

Take a multimeter out to battery some morning - what's your resting voltage?

No, put a good trickle charge on it over and that should be good, check voltage before and after

A trickle charger?
I drive it 25 miles to work and 25 miles back everyday and then four or five times after that in the evening.
Why would I put a trickle charger on it? or hell when? I don't get it.

Same issue; cabin lights occasionally work when entering. Had the Ford replace the axles last month (went bad on a 2023 XLT with 57K...brutal), Cabin lights have not worked since this service...it sucks!

There is more to deep sleep than just "the modem is turned off - that's it". The fact is that the vehicle is gasping for air by the time it goes into the deep sleep problem. An FLA or AGM battery should never be allowed to drop to a state of charge as low as what triggers the deep sleep problem. By repeatedly going that low it has set in course the destruction of the battery through sulfation. This poster states that he drives a significant distance and yet still goes into deep sleep. The person that posted the SSM on the ACCM module didn't also mention that that is for "some" vehicles that "may" exhibit problems. We are waiting for Ford's promised fix to enable the battery to be properly charged and to stop, permanently, the rapid battery discharge that everyone is seeing. The ACCM SSM was not "the" fix.

This is a common thing with a hybrid Maverick. It spends most of the time in sleep mode. I still have my original non AGM battery in my truck, into my 4th year, and as long as it starts, I'll live in darkness when starting it at night. See if Ford will replace your battery with an AGM one, since you're still under warranty.

Well, see what volts your battery is at, if low then charge, worth a try instead of just going out and buying a new battery, mine was 12.3 volts, a 2025 with no issues, charged over nite, now it is staying right at 12.8 12.9...I do not know why...if your battery is low that is not good for the battery...Your choice, good luck

It's just that I haven't had a single problem with it in the 22 months that I've owned it.
15,000 miles.
yes I think the battery is fine not just because it "starts" (it's a hybrid) but the headlights are bright, horn is strong etc with rhe key in the accessories position.
It's a small problem just an annoyance really to have a dark interior when you get in the vehicle.
But I don't understand the advice of charging the battery.
Aren't I charging it the hundred miles or so a day that I drive it?
How does an outside charger or a trickle charger do better than that?

You are right. I had the same issue even after taking 3 hour drives. Get the software software update I referenced above. They are supposed to charge the battery while doing that update. Mine only worked for a couple days before it started sleeping again because the battery was already crapped out. You might be able to get them to replace the battery under warranty if you want to deal with them. I just bought my own AGM battery off of Amazon for $130 and haven't had an issue in 3 months. If you try to get Ford to replace your battery, fight for an AGM.

I have the same battery issue with '24 hybrid. Battery in deep sleep mode and no interior lights. Dealer replaced the battery a year ago and now having the same issue with replacement battery. If I drive it on about 20 mile trip the battery stays up for about one day then back in saver mode.

The 2023 Lariat does not have a key. A person shouldn't have to be told a stupid comment like Ford put in the Ford Pass app saying we "need to drive more" and to turn off the HVAC, and everything else, while taking that "long drive". Sure Ford, when it's 110 F in the summer! We didn't but the Maverick hybrid for long drives. We bought it for short around town trips for the great in-town MPGs. Ford needs to fix this problem.

Were you driving it everyday?
or were you leaving it for long periods of time is that why you charged it with an outside charger?
My truck never goes more than half a day without being driven.
