That is correct for the 2024 and earlier 2.0 EB. On 87 octane they make 231 hp.
The new for 2025 2.0 EB makes 238 on 87 octane.
I haven't seen figures for the new engine with 91 octane.

I'm not certain. But I think it's with premium fuel. 87 is perfectly acceptable. But you won't get maximum performance. But the reduction is not that noticeable.

First hybrid, first "real" new Ford. My first new car as an '89 Ford Festiva which was made by KIA if I remember correctly. My first new truck was a Mazda B3000, which was basically a Ford. So was the B4000 that followed it.

Other Fords I've owned: 80-something Econoline van, 78 & 79 Bronco.

Hoping my new XLT hybrid comes in soon... getting pretty sketchy riding to work with all the wet snow on my KLR. LMAO

This is an old man vehicle. Looks like a truck with a small bed, but is a SUV that gets great mileage. For many on the forum like myself, it is a second or fourth vehicle. I was looking at EV's then hybrids and just couldn't drive a little car or SUV / Station wagon. This small size, high mileage and looks like a truck is awesome. Still love my full sized Truck for truck stuff and better view of the road. The Maverick would be the perfect parts runner or courier vehicle.

Just curious. What's the age of the Maverick owners on this site? I'm 61. Any women owners? At our dealership, most Maverick owners are older (50+) and male. I think I've seen only one female Maverick owner at our dealership. I don't think I've seen any who are under 50. The Maverick seems like it would be something that would be popular with young people given it's practicality and entry level price. But the young people I've talked to personally like the way it looks, admit it'll meet their needs, but aren't interested in buying it because they seem to think it's a old man truck .

I'm a 65 year old woman. I like having a vehicle that is versatile and fuel efficient and the hybrid Maverick was the best choice for me.

Great news as riding the KLR in the rain/snow mix with a rear tire down to the wear bars has me sucking in air from both ends. The winds gusting to 70km/h sure don't help matters any...

I’m 56 and now that you mention it, I’ve never seen anyone younger than myself driving a Maverick or getting into or out of one in a parking lot.

The only other person who I personally know who owns one is 78 yo.

A guy in my neighborhood has one as well, again, I’d say he’s prob late fifties.

At least in my locale, the Mav is the official truck of fifties plus white guys and auto parts stores with the occasional utility line locating business or similar.

I bought mine when I was 30. I got it because it could haul my bikes and range gear better than my GTI, and got better fuel economy than my 4Runner. I think this truck has a lot to offer for younger buyers due to its price and versatility, but people in my generation view trucks as excessive and less frugal than a more expensive and less functional crossover.

Almost all the parts houses that deliver are getting these Mavericks in our area. Some are replacing their Nissan's with Mavericks. But many of them seem to FINALLY be replacing their old Rangers. The Maverick seems to be filling the gap of the original Ranger, S10, and Nissan hardbody. It has a shorter bed, but it's deeper. And it has a usable cab

That makes sense. When I was 19 my only choice was a 9-year-old car that my dad bought for me that he bought for cheap from a customer who wanted to get rid of it. Having said that, there are a couple of young people at my job that actually said that it was nice. But it was an old man vehicle.

In my opinion it is a truck with a small bed that's made on an SUV platform. To me the bed, usability, and appearance off what makes it a truck. The platform doesn't really matter since it can do what you would expect a small truck to be able to do.

It’s the first and only non car like mini pickup truck to come out in decades.
Thats why it’s a hit and we all love it so even with its design problems and recalls.
It actually looks like a truck and not an SUV with a bed on it.

I’m surprised the Mav doesn’t look just like a Bronco Sport with a bed stuck on one end.
I’m surprised they bothered to bend sheet metal in a new way.
