Dielectric grease is not conductive.
So that being said not advisable to use to improve conductivity, for preventing water intrusion and corrosion resistance yes.
Yes, it's to stop further oxidation and moisture intrusion. Never had to touch anything again that I put back together with it, dodgy inline connectors, lamp sockets, you name it.

Some folks think dielectric grease improves the connection, it keeps it from getting worse.

Had a similar issue, it was the speed sensor that got cut when I hit a pothole. Thankfully a simple fix. I had a similar issue with my MKZ a few years ago and it was due to some mice chewing on the wire harness

Some folks think dielectric grease improves the connection, it keeps it from getting worse.
You'd want Coolamp conductolube for that and it's best not placed in the hands of amateurs who will short everything out with it.

Battery
Break switch
Here's to hoping the problem goes away
I want to thank everyone for the input. it was extremely helpful I went Into the dealership this morning with no your fixing it attitude, with knowledge from the community of owners. Thanks again to everyone!

Its been checked a few times already
So far my battery has been good first thing they checked. Mine also wasnt part of the recall at all. I fussed about that already. I have amp and speakers installed, but it was doing this way before all that.

I know right I would have thought it was the battery after being in the shop 3 times
Yelp I was definitely wrong on that front. Thinking it couldn't be it. Assuming they would have seen it by now.
I guess the frustrating part of it for me is that the service department should have looked at the battery condition first. Then started replacing parts.
I would also ask them if they can increase the 12 volt battery charge to at least 90% if not 100%.

Mines a '25. It happened on day 2 of ownership.
4 days for me was the first time. They got the shifter part fixed. They did a battery and break switch.

So, new battery and gear selector switch didn't fix it.
Are there any other dealers near you to take it to?
If your dealer has more than one, switch Service Writers.
