My ford pass keeps saying its in battery saver mode and to drive my truck to reconnect. I went and made an appointment at the dealer today and also went and got a battery check at O'Reillys. It was a little low so I went and put my trickle charger on it. Volts are now saying 12.7 when in aux 15 while running. What could be causing ford pass not to work?

I've been at this 31 months and haven't changed a thing or replaced anything. I do drive on road trips at least once a month, so that does help. Just do nothing, that's my take. Remote features disabled has never bugged me badly.

I don't drive my Eco every day and I do get that message from time to time but have never had a problem starting it. The battery manager system does not allow the battery to charge fully and when I monitored voltage it drops pretty quickly as soon as you park it. I just installed a plug on the side badge so I can throw it on the charger without opening the hood- there is a thread on that.

Same happened to me. A few times. Then 1 month later battery dead. I replaced it with an odyssey battery.

Ford Pass won't work when in battery save mode. It will only tell you that you are in battery save mode.

If Fordpass really cannot connect to the truck for remote functions (start, lock/unlock doors, ect) - then the notice probably said more than Battery Saver features but specifically said Deep Sleep Mode has been enabled.

That means the modem has been turned off - so the Ford servers can't reach the truck.
Which means Fordpass thru those servers can't reach the truck.

Right before shutting off modem the truck reports it's going offline basically - due to battery as you noticed.

Someone been enjoying the radio or lights for extended periods while it's not running?

Same here B2000, mine will do the same as weather gets colder, as it is, 5*C in the morning. No problems, starts like a champ!

So is it ok to not have features you paid for because of a design issue.

This problem is not the fault of the user 99.99% of the time. It is a design flaw and pretty well known at this point. Near half a decade now.

There is a known issue with some Mavericks, mine had (has) it. Ford issued a service memo (SSM 53087) and has a software update. I took delivery of my '24 SLT on 1/31/24, got my first notice on Mother's day this year, and went through it again a few weeks ago and got the software update. Too soon to know if it worked.

Warning: The first time I got the notice, I thought it was a software issue, went to the garage, confirmed my truck would start, turned it back off. Later that day, it wouldn't start at all and I ended up having to have the battery jumped twice that week before getting to the dealer to have the battery discharged and reset. This last time I got the message, I went out and drove the truck around until I started getting the battery recharge message when braking, which took about 5-7 minutes of driving.

This is what the app is showing. I've already reinstalled the app still the same message.

I have to wonder why the app doesn’t show the level of charge or the current voltage of the battery. I know that my windshield washer fluid level is good though. Valuable information.
