Dash cubby hole -- what's in yours? 📸

I’ve been trying to think of a “useful” idea for the cubby for the longest time. I’ve seen a lot of odd ideas come up that seem pointless, to me at least.

I didn’t screen the entire forum — but has anyone suggested a secondary backup camera? It’s my understanding that when the tailgate is down for flexbed use, the factory camera will be rendered useless pointed at the ground. Maybe an aftermarket wireless camera could be placed on the back license plate and be used for these times. The screens I’ve seen are usually 5” so don’t know if you could get a clean flush look or not, prob have to resort to using one of the phone mounts mentioned on the forum.

I saw a wireless setup on Amazon that can sync two cameras to the single screen so you could technically do the idea above, and also put one on the front bumper area for parking in tight spaces/garage etc.

I’m going to 3D print an organizer so I can have easy access to all of the things I normally have to dig for in my center console. Sunglasses, mini hand sanitizer, tissues, chapstick, and napkins. It’ll be nice to have it not cluttering other areas

How about the storage space on top of the dash, behind the touch screen? I made a plywood block to fit in there, mounted a Ram mount for the GPS. I actually prefer the Garmin display over Google Maps:

Great idea and thanks for posting. I was looking maybe to do something similar with a SiriusXM Commander Touch, especially since it has a small form factor and just measures 1.75" H x 4.1875" W x 0.5625 Deep and mount it fairly close to the front of the cubby or on the front lip. We'll see after I receive the unit.

Funko Pops have been suggested as a possibility to fit in the screen side cubby. I could not get my Funko of choice to fit, however, the figurine from the Funkoverse board game fits just about perfectly.

Anyone have any takes on a radar detector? Or do they have to be mounted on the windshield. I’ve never owned one.

If you have ever seen a "useless switch" .. this works the same way. Turn the switch on and an arm comes out of the box and turns itself off.
