Ah...Baldwin .....the Elvis of filters !

Back in the 80's and 90's I worked for a Baldwin distributor here in Central California .
Baldwin brought in a private jet and flew a few of us salesman back to the factory in Kearney Nebraska.

Nice meal at a country club , nice hotel , and then .....OPEN BAR ... OMG...
The next morning , too bright and early was the factory tour .
It was rough with a hangover ....the noise , the smell of machines , and even though it was February ( in Nebraska !) the factory doors were open because of the heat .
You could tell all the factory workers hated the " tours" ... Theyre making minimum wage ....in a factory ....and the company was throwing us a " Party" ....

....enough rambling ....
My kind of company!

I'm switching to Baldwin after watching Mann& Hummel ruin some of the Wix, Purolator and Motorcraft filters. Some are good, some are bad, but the excess glue floating around in the Purolator/Motorcraft filters these days is not a good thing.

Retire, they said. You will all this free time to spend on your hobbies, they said. Now I'm trying to figure how I got anything done before retiring as I am just as busy. :cwl:

Is this the one for a 24 EcoBoost?

Yes. That is the equivalent to the FL-910s.

The equivalent to the FL-400s is B243, and the equivalent to the FL-1A is the B2.

Thanks Terry. They all fit the 24 Eco, just some hold more or less oil, and more is better when it comes to oil! To an extent,😉

I have a Focus with the shield mounted the same way as the Maverick. In the 152,000 miles I've driven it I've had no isses with the plastic nut inserts, because I only snug the screws up by hand with a screwdriver. If they are overtightened, eventually they will strip and the screws will loosen.
Yep, this, as long as you don't over tighten the plastic inserts, they'll be fine. The problem is if YOU don't do the tightening every time..someone not paid enough to care will eventually ruin them for you.
You can get a cheap pack of new clips on !a if you need to, but its still annoying because you'll likely also need a pack of screws too at some point.

My 22 had the hole but no scoop?
What I mean is the EB and the Hybrid had different part # for the under engine cover, different designs entirely. Later Mavs again had a different design.

For the 22 Hybrid it got cut in a number of places for one of the parts of the engine fire recall for the 2.5L engine. I haven't seen a stock one, since mine came with the recall done already.

And the later matching hybrid shield usage is merely missing the plastic scoop/air director - so just a hole.
At least on mine.

24MY mfg'd after they decided which engine builds had the potential issue - still had vanes removed and the holes in the shield.
So just new methodology now.

It would be interesting if 25MY owners have noticed same missing vanes.
Since there is FWD and AWD hybrids - I'm sure the shield is the same - add the scoop for AWD air flow.

I paid just over $4 each on a case of 12 B2's. $14? That's crazy money for an oil filter. O' Weirdly gets about $12 for some of their filters... not my $12.

Since I couldn't find my case of Baldwins (after my grandson used my shop and 'organized' some of my inventory I bought a filter at my local Federated ( soon to be a Parts Pro store) for $4.85.
